Please Nissan don’t ever add a turbo adds complexity and unnecessary weight
@FM-gv7sb9 ай бұрын
Absolutely. Same with a hybrid, IMO. Keep the truck real with solid long-lasting proven tech that doesn't cost an arm and a leg to fix. Not every trend is worth following.

Every single “con” you said...I mean literally is exactly why I went and ordered my truck today. All those negatives you said are what I wanted and liked....so good for me

No hybrid and no turbo is not s bad thing for me
@f5fstop9 ай бұрын
Screw hybrids. Not a problem. Best thing about the Frontier is there is NO TURBO. Considering the engine without a turbo has more HP and torque, who needs the POS? Heavy steering? Only in the mind of a weakling. It's hydraulic and the feel is better than any electronic assist made. Not any harder to turn, but a better feel for the road. Can't speak for the back seat, never had and never plan on riding back there. But my shepherd sure likes it. I find the infotainment system to be as good as any in the other mid-size trucks. Yea, the screen might be an inch or two larger but overall experience is just as good. But what would I expect from someone who probably has never actually driven the vehicle and only show videos from other reviewers and advertisements and if they have driven, probably a short drive.
@Blue-moon128 ай бұрын
It's a 3.8.V6 and not a 3.6.
@FM-gv7sb9 ай бұрын
Also, personally, I don't give a hoot about the infotainment system, In fact, I wish manufacturers would offer the option not to have it. It just adds unnecessary cost and it's one more thing that will break with time.

No Hybrid is definitely a huge plus for me. I absolutely would never buy a hybrid. They not only cost more up front, but the repair bills are significantly more. Thank goodness Nissan didnt' ruin this truck with a hybrid they way Tacoma is going. In fact, that's why I won't be buying a Tacoma. I want my truck to last over 200k. I owned a 1980s Hardbody. It was my first truck. It had a 5-speed manual transmission. That's what I learned to drive a stick on. The only negative I see is thee is no manual transmission. All of this hybrid/EV BS is a result of people buying into the man-made climate change nonsense. I heard John Kerry smugly say that people who don't believe in it don't read the science. I'd bet if Kerry was asked to name 5 climate change scientists that he wouldn't have been able to do it because he is making it up as he goes along. Don't buy into the BS. Hybrids might be good on gas, but they cost more upfront and they are more complicated to work on, which means higher repair bills.

I agree with you on EV nonsense and this push the governments are doing. Toyota hybrids are pretty reliable, and they are concentrating on hybrids vs EVs which I think makes more sense than just straight out EV. But I am ICE all the way.

not true, there are long bed crew cab versions...

(15 Jan 24) Just bought a 2024 Pro4X. The ride is better than my previous 2021 Ranger. The interior is better than the Ranger. It's far quieter than the Ranger. Off idle torque from the V6 is way better than being off the boost in the Ranger. I have yet to see new 24 Ranger in person, an they've been (theoretically) out for months. Toyota, last I heard, was waiting on the EPA to complete their emission certification, so no Tacomas have even shipped. They were supposed to hit dealers in Dec 23. The hybrid version is supposed to be available in April. Oh, and they are going to be thousand$ more comparably equipped whenever they eventually do arrive - then add $1300 to $1500 for the hybrid option (Guessing based on other Toyota vehicles.) One thing you failed to mention is that it's hard work breaking the $50K barrier on a Frontier. Fully loaded Pro4Xs are $48 to $49K MSRP. It's way easier to break into the 50s on the competitors, though the Colorado seems a decent value if you're being careful (Though I don't trust GM quality.) My biggest complaint is that the Pro Premium package is the only option for leather seats. It mandates the sunroof which decreases the already borderline headroom. Nissan would be well served making the sunroof a stand alone option away from the Pro Premium package Or making a Pro Premium 1 & 2 - one w/ and one w/o the sunroof. I'd have been pretty pleased w/ the rest of the package w/o the sunroof.

Missing a hybrid is not exactly a con, but I do think the Japanese need to up their game with tech. Other countries have been running circles around them for the last 20 yrs or more.

I bought one, I like it but you can’t get a drop in bedliner as nobody offers one, only for the useless 5’ bed. I use my truck for work and need the 6’ bed. I don’t want a spray in liner, it’s a cop out for Nissan. You can’t even get a nice tailgate mat yet. This bedliner thing pisses me off , if anyone has a source or idea please let me know . Good truck so far.

I own a 2023 Pro4X its a great truck. The 3.8 V-6 is very good as well as the 9 speed transmission very smooth powertrain. The hydraulic steering is awesome feels like a truck should drives really good. The ride is also very good even with the 2.5" RC lift and 285/70/17 Tires. Do not listen to these reviewers the new Tacoma is Not better!

I bought the 2024, and I DO NOT WANT A TURBO-- it destroys the engine overtime. I plan on keeping my truck. Also I have a Crew Cab Long bed. Your video claims no Long Bed on a Crew Cab and that is wrong.

Great video, since your channel is "Fuel Force" a fuel injection question comes to mind.. Knowing the new Ford Ranger 2.3L inline 4 has Direct Fuel Injection and the 2.7L V-6 has Port and Direct Injection, what type of fuel injection does the 2024 V-6 Frontier have?
@Blue-moon128 ай бұрын
Direct Injection

This is the most inaccurate write up on this truck on KZbin. This truck is leaps and bounds ahead of the competition even in 2024. It is a bargain compared to the others I know because I’ve of them all and I now have a 24 frontier SL.

after owning 6 tacomas,i am now buying the frontier because i refuse to pay toyota's inflated price for a turbo 4 banger . i am sure i'm not alone!!
@sawboneiomc88098 ай бұрын
The naturally breathing engine is what did it for me...along with the hydraulic steering. I just think that electrical steering is a problem in a box. Just ordered my truck tonight after work.
@thunderstruk7 ай бұрын
So many inaccuracies and falsehoods in this video. You can get the long bed in both cab configurations, not just king. Avoiding the hybrid route is a plus for many. And can’t believe you’re trying to claim a turbo charged engine has better access to its power at low rpm’s 😂
@danejohnson84306 ай бұрын
Hybrid & Turbo option? No please. Plus it’s a truck so I expect truck mechanics. But you are spot on with the 80s retro version. Bring the price down by 5K & now it’s a great truck. Better than Toyota in my opinion.

3 things that’s bad (and I’m nitpicking here) is the quality of the electronics (camera resolution, touchscreen lag, etc), it has less storage in the rear (compared to other trucks), and it has basically the same interior design across all trim levels. Overall, everything about this truck is great
