Love the vidoe very well explained one question tho can u hook it up to the running lights instead of the extra fuse i like how it looks with thr running lights ot sure i want them on all the time and thanks in advance
@jonathanholman9091 Жыл бұрын
You can, you'll just need the fog light switch on your turn signal controls and you can turn them on when you like

Great job on the install. Question....your Nissan was prewired, so why not use factory wiring and just replace the "stalk" the turn signal switch with fog lights?
@jonathanholman90913 жыл бұрын
Thank you. Because I'm a simple guy and just the right of flicking the fog lights on is too much for me, so I'd rather be the Frontier guy who always has his fog lights on. On when I need them. On when I don't. Looks sexy doing both.

So your way, the fog lights will be on anytime you start the vehicle, even with the headlights off? Also, when you placed the wire in the 30amp spare fuse, did you put the fuse back in?
@jonathanholman90913 жыл бұрын
I placed the fuse in the back of the Add-A-Circuit slot B so that I still have it just in case
@brad45273 жыл бұрын
Nice job Bro ! I'm just courses why the extra fuse ? great step by step !
@jonathanholman90913 жыл бұрын
Thank you, I added the fuse that I removed from F10 to the Add-A-Circuit just in case I decide to get a steering wheel switch for the fog lights but the Add-A-Circuit bypasses that so they will be on when the truck is on or the key is in the on position. So basically So basically so I don't lose that fuse. I put it in the B slot of the circuit so it doesn't add any unnecessary power to the line.

Do I need the add a circuit?
@jonathanholman90913 жыл бұрын
Not if you buy the turn signal switch for the fog lights. This mod bypasses the use of the switch.

I just replaced the normal light bulbs with LED's. The lights worked for a few days but they are no longer operating. Any ideas?

Make sure you get some Katana 9007 foglights. Best brand out there for the price and quality.

Thanks for the video, nice job. So, just to clarify, those Winjet lights do hook right up to the factory wiring harness that's already behind the bumper? I'm asking because I don't necessarily want my fog lights to be on all the time, but I saw a set of yellow Winjets that I like and was wondering if they'll work with the wiring and fuse that's already there, and I can just switch out the turn signal lever to turn them on and off.
@jonathanholman90913 жыл бұрын
They'll hook right up, the wiring is there and the fuse is already there. The simple mod I show in the video is to bypass the use of a steering wheel switch.

You do know what that relay is for right?
@jonathanholman90913 жыл бұрын
Yes, in the diagram for my truck it is not used. It is between the heated mirrors relay and daytime light relay 1. You can check your manual to make sure.
@jameshawelu49163 жыл бұрын
@@jonathanholman9091 nah man, the relay that’s use in the wiring harness for those fog lights you threw away.
@jonathanholman90913 жыл бұрын
I see where you're going with this. Yes. The relay would have worked just fine but not how I wanted it to. The relay had to get its power from the battery and did you see that long line? I'm wiring fog lights, not boat lights.
@jameshawelu49163 жыл бұрын
@@jonathanholman9091 the “long line” is wire. It’s long because it needs a relay to work properly and safely. I hope your truck doesn’t catch on fire bro.

This was a great video but you could’ve saved a whole lotta time and eliminate the add a fuse wiring.Just buy the factory light switch for fog lites and replace it with the one installed. It’s already pre- factory wired.
