0:07 カードを入れて下さい = "Please insert the card." In Japan, we have a system on our motorway network called ETC (Electronic Toll Collection) so its asking to put the ETC card into a reader. The cars that are compatible with ETC have sensors so that the barriers at the tollgate can identify it. Basically saves you from braking to a complete stop to pay for the motorway fare.

R33 GTR were NOT 276hp.... They were not even 276hp at the wheels. Nissan had to conform to the manufacturrer agreement of not selling a car over 276hp so all Japanese cars were 276hp maximum... In reality, the R33 was more around 330 to 350hp... Most R32 GTR actually show results around 310 to 320hp...

they actually had boost restrictors that limited power to 276hp but they are quite easy to remove as far as I'm aware and Nissan themselves recommended that they be removed

+traxnada lol Nissan/Toyota Both, used a Actuator Block that Stopped it going over 280bhp When in reality with the block Removed they would be able to push over the 0.8bar of boost to 1.2 / 1.3bar which made around the 315-325bhp Mark the Nur II R34 is one of the Only Gtrs that the Block wasnt Put on made around 345bhp Most R32/r33 gtrs forsale an are stock already have them taken out since in Japan nissan dealers would tell you about it an to remove it if you wanted the full deal, not all owners however did, plenty of videos on youtube showing the part you remove to open the wastegate actuator to full potential my ex R32 93,still had it, :) you however are mislead the r32/r33/r34 Never made over 270-280awhp other then the Nur Models pushing just into 300-310whp :)

Yes I forgot about the actuator restrictor and I was indeed talking about deristricted cars. I never talked about whp figures though, just that deristricted cars were usually over 276hp at the wheels... From most results I see everywhere, R33 GTR seem to get between 320 and 330hp which equals to 280 to 288/289hp at the wheels. when stock. I was a bit optimistic when I said up to 350hp (at the crank of course) indeed... Demuro's R32 GTR came up with 281hp at the wheels, 323hp at the crank knowing that it's 100% stock.

if I recall correctly, you couldn't just "select" this car in Gran Turismo. There was a particular championship made up of a series of races, and winning it meant you won money for your bank as well as the mythical 400R. I won it, but the one I got was dark grey. I was only 15 at the time when GT1 was out, but I knew this car was something special... so much so I never modded it like you normally would other cars you win or bought in the game.

As he says at the end any one of a vast list of modern cars is vastly superior... but then he says it reminds us of an age where cars were amazing - no, that's just nostalgia talking - cars are MORE amazing now, it just reminds him of his youth so he can't judge it objectively. 20 years from now today's kids will feel the same about the cars they lust after now - it's no different than guys in their 50's 60's and 70's and their muscle cars - they also go on about how special that era was when, lets face it, anyone who has driven a 60's muscle car in original condition knows how bad they are to drive. If anything, the current generation of cars may well be the most special, because it may well be the last, or close to the last as electric, self driving vehicles come into production. It's a cool piece of history, its fun, it deserves to be remembered and appreciated - but don't lose all perspective it's really only special because it reminds us of our youth & past engineering achievements long since eclipsed - it's comparatively objectively in every way crap compared to it's modern equivalents.

70s-early 2000s were the best years for cars especially the 90s. Skylines, Datsun/Nissan Z's, Supra's WRX's Evo's Miata's just to name a few. I recently bought a 1990 300zx Twin Turbo and haven't regretted it seriously do yourself a favor and get an old sports car they are cheap at the moment the ones in the 90's anyway they are bound to go up in price in the coming years and they still are fantastic cars just look at the Datsun Z originally sold for less then 3 grand now they are worth between 20G-40G in good condition

R35 GTR isn't like a computer to drive, it's actually raw. Stop relating the Skyline to Fast & Furious and Paul Walker, the franchise was a reputation mess for Japanese cars, anyway Gran Turismo is what made these cars iconic
