Aim high buddy, never take your eyes off of that goal. Yesterday I drove down to Palm Beach and traded my 370z and bought a 2013 GTR! After 8 years of dreaming watching videos, I purchased my own. The joy is overwhelming and I'm happy to wave and say hi to all of the young dreamers that I pass on the road.

That start off the line is so unreal. A little chirp and the engine catapults it. And remember this car weighs around 1.8 tonnes wet, with power less than 600 hp but lives among the supercars. It's mental.

Weights more than most GT cars yet beat the hell out of both Veyron and Zonda F Conv with 4 season tires... What an Amazing machine!! And this is just the Premium package, the black edition can be couple tenths quicker than the Premium with some roll bar, damper, shocks upgrades, ECU tuning and probably some traction management tuning as well. The Premium is unbelievably quick on a British track which has totally different characteristic as Japanese tracks like Tsukuba or German's Nurburgring where it developed at. The cornering is so nimble, the turning angle is so sharp and the rear axle aiding to gain yaw rate like RWD while the front wheel helps corner exit and a bit yawing adjustment on apex when the car start slipping too much like at 0:48. This is the combination of human and mechanical correction. Brilliant!

HKS NISMO The GTR V-Spec only available in japan, like many other versions. It has some extra performances and modifications which make it even better. Sadly we won't be able to get it ! But yeah, I'm still amazed how good and amazing machine is the R35 GTR!

Wow thats astonishing. When you see it going round the track, it doesn't even look fast because there is no fuss, it goes round corners without rolling or understeer or much tyre squeal, all very calm and relaxing yet turns out it was blisteringly quick ! Awesome car, can I have one please ? Seriously, id have that over any other sports car. AWD is the winner for me, plus you hardly see any of them about and would feel more special than a Porsche, and at £82K its a bargain for what it is. I imagine extremely reliable as well being Japanese.

@Wokk, in general though the GT-R line since the R33 have been considered "Godzilla". Guess we could further classify them by the version of Godzilla (original 1954 film, which was called "Gojira", or the "Shin" version of today). So the R33 could be "Gojira" and the R35 could be "Shin Godzilla".

I'm still amazed by what the GT-R did at that point in time. It showed that a bonkers quick supercar on the track didn't have to cost much over 100,000 dollars. And with it being a Nissan, you know you'll get a fantastic car to live with as well. It was basically the benchmark for a supercar. If it isn't faster than a GT-R, but is far more expensive, can you really call it a supercar?

The value is amazing. The GT-R is amazingly cheap for what it is. A refined, digital, super car that's REALISTIC to own. I'll never own an Italia or a Bugatti but the GTR is actually possible

The R8 is way classier though. I'd rather pull up to a classy hotel for dinner in an R8 than my GTR. Also, I note GTR owners are fitting the R8's 8-pot brakes aftermarket, because they are just that good. You can keep the 458 though, not paying Italian super / hyper car maintenance fees...

I have a 2016 Nissan GT-R (MY16 on a 16 plate = £78K) which I got end of March 2016. Believe me people, the massive hype is justified. Totally awesome car, it's super quick and handles very well too. People love seeing the car too. Worth noting: The older GT-R models I drove prior to the MY16 I found are different and don't feel or sound as nice to drive. I've also driven a Twin Turbo Supra (own) , Porcshe 911 C4 (used to own), Lambo Gallardo (track day), Lambo Huracan (track day) just so you know my bench mark. Go get a GT-R MY16 or later if you can afford it.

morfamike it seems as you put the price in £'s you might be in the uk if so contact Litchfield motorsport/imports the are one of the best tuners for gtrs and they offer many mods . Not sure if it has gone into the purchase phase but they have managed to fit a mk4 gearbox to the newest gtr a conversion that nismo said wasn't possible except a retired nismo guru, i beleive this gets another 80-100 hp that is lost going through the mk5 gearbox go check them out

Anyone that's looking at getting the newest gtr and are in the uk, get one from Litchfield motorsport/imports. They do some of the best mods in the world including putting the mk4 gearbox into the current gtr because the mk5 loses around 80hp through the gearbox-this is still i think in the development phase. Everyone at nismo said it couldn't be done apart from a retired nismo guru, they have now done it and will soon be offering this conversion

Dont wanna sound like im giving the gtr so much praise but in all honesty to me it's gotta be my favorite car of all time because most supercars aren't practical but this one has extra seats and it's 4wd and its got the quickest lunch control and it won numerous drag races in world's greatest drag race plus its japanese so it's reliable as hell it's gotta be the most high tech automobile ever created and tiff needle says it's got more computing system than NASA.
