Ciao 👋🏽 Yes, I poured the oil back through the gearbox dipstick using a small funnel. It goes slowly so you'll have to be patient. There's apparently some other full plug as well but this worked fine for me 🙂

No problem at all. Yeah as you can see in the video, it's Comma Brand AT Fluid. But if you could get specifically from Nissan, that should be better if they are suggesting it.

I go in nissan and i take d matic fluid, yestarday jan 2024, price with discount 30% is 20 eurox liter, for take care of the old oil i used the pomp oil and come out 3,5 liters, i put the new oil. Tks so much x video and answer

Can i use dextron 3 as the automatic oil. Oil indictor lbel says as matic j. But as this is not cvt matic j is not required isnt it

Auto transmission fluid as you can see in the video, I used the ATF and PSF from comma. It's been a while and it has been pretty good.

when I first bought my girlfriends car at around 80,000km it drove fine but after getting the auto transmission oil changed it would always slip on 1st to 2nd gear on a cold start, then after it was warm it drove normal. We then had the transmission oil changed again at 130,000km and now it slips even more. Anyways I've always had issues of automatic transmissions slightly slipping and this is done at the mechanics, not the same one but different ones too. Might try this DIY

Yeah the auto transmissions do give issues as they grow older. It mightn't be good example but here it goes, bmw states for many of it's auto transmissions that they're sealed for life so no oil change needed but like any other transmission it does need a change and a good mechanic would recommend that but then on the other hand some people say if you don't change the fluid in them till 120k, don't do it as it can actually do damage but don't know how true it is 😔

It's relatively easy task to tackle so worth giving it a go and make sure to use correct fluids for your transmission as that can have a serious impact on the operation of the transmission. Best of luck 👍

hello, i have the same problem. I bought this car for my wife a while ago. As you said, after the first start, there is a shift from 1st gear to 2nd gear. For some reason this goes away when the car warms up or the transmission warms up. You said it happened after the transmission oil was changed, a similar situation applies to my car. The mechanics here say that they drain all the oil in the gearbox with special vacuum devices and then add at least 7 liters of oil after that. I think there is an error here. Either they do not use the right oil or this oil change is done by those who do not know the job, only as a fluid change, so it damages the system. My question to you is, was your transmission oil change done with a vacuum device or was it changed as much as the empty part in the video? Because here a real expert technician said that in these systems, you can change only 70% of the oil with a change process like in the video.

@@mustafa8249 Yeah I do agree that the proper way to do the transmission fuel change would be with the proper transfer pump. But in my case, all I did was what you see in the video and filled it manually too. It has been running fine to this day. Let us know how you get on.

Interesting 🤔 All I can confirm is that we still have that car in the family and it's running perfectly, No issue since the oil change (nearly time to do it again 🙂). I hope that helps 🙏

It did actually made it better and another car that I have done. Not 100% sure how it'll help with a manual gearbox, make sure you use the right fluid and either way it's good to change the gearbox oil and it'll rule out if there's an underlying issue. Best of luck 👍🏾

@@noorshah96 thankyou for your reply, my car is also an auto micra k12 that's how I came across your video as I was looking how to do it. I don't think it's ever been changed and my cars mileage is over 180,000 and engine light just came on saying its the gearbox solenoid A so going to go down this route 1st before the more expensive route. Thanks for the video.

No worries 🙂 I thought it was a Manual when you mentioned from 1st to 2nd gear 😁 But if it's giving an error for the solenoid, I would imagine that is the problem I'm afraid so maybe try to diagnose/fix that and do the oil too as it'll be beneficial either way.

I got an error code that indicated the transmission being an issue but it was actually due to the camera wired incorrectly. The symptoms I had were, 1 side indicator flashing really fast and the brake light bulb constantly blowing

Do we have to change the oil for the gear as well for the auto transmission of nissan micra or change the engine oil only?

Engine oil change is regular and more often than the auto transmission Oil Change. It mainly depends on the car itself and is usually highlighted in the user manual. I hope it helps.

Glad you liked the video, thanks for the comment 🤜 CVT and Mmt are different alright, as CVTs have drive belts on pulleys inside them and their ratio change feels like gear changes while the mmts are more or less are a manual gearbox with a hydraulic clutch but the main difference is the clutch is operated automatically by the computer where the driver sometimes have to ease of the gas too like a manual for a smoother shift. Toyota offered mmts in some models, CVTs are more common I believe. Hope it helps.

Not sure what the manual says tbh but read it somewhere that according to the manual, bring the car up to temp, drive it for a bit and then check the transmission oil level. What I do is I do both once at cold and again after warming up. In this way you make sure it's not low or high.

Dead on mate, they were f'd. But I actually restored them before the NCT (Ireland's MOT). They came out great and there was actually noticable difference in the light output too on the road.

@@noorshah96 oh ok cool :-) out of interest how much roughly to get them restored as micra im picking up for my other half buying it cheap as failed MOT on headlights and few other bits, track rod ends, bearings etc but i can do those.

@@adamliz8172 good stuff. I actually used the Maguires Headlight Restoration Kit from Halfords (about 20-25 quid) and I do recommend, takes some effort but does a good job. I recently used AutoGlym's Kit costs a bit more but gives you more stuff and easy of use with a drill. And gives better results. Let me know how do you get on, if you can change the mechanical bits, this should be handy work 💪

@@noorshah96 Not a 100% but i think there is two an external one on the side of the transmission where you drained the oil first, and an internal one in the transmission sump, need to change my own so doing a bit of research.

Oh okay, thanks for sharing as it would make sense to have one filter at least if there's fluid 🙂 I should have done some more research but know now for the next time. The car is going fairly good so far.
