the way you compare it is almost the same when i tried to find a truck in 2018 and had the same verdict. me and my bro bought the navaras and going great so far without problems. they are underdogs that don't get much in attention or reputation compared to the others but they are strong, comfy, reliable and economical daily trucks.

Its more common to see isuzu and toyota to be workhorses and so people dont usually sell them after a few years. Im not saying the other 2 arent workhorses. Im just saying the isuzu and toyota are the go to ones. The ranger and navara are more of a lifestyle choice. If you want a pick up as a daily driver, Nissan is the best drivers pick up. The driving position and power delivery is more desirable than the rest. Ford has everything electronically assisted. So its for drivers who want an effortless drive. Toyota and isuzu are no brainers for hardwork and lifestyle. If you are a diehard carguy, i recommend the nissan. As for reliability, they are all very reliable. But, there have been a few reports of ford transmissions going wrong. But only very few. As for the rest, they all do well. It also comes down to who uses these things. Are they careful? Do they maintain the thing? If you don't know how to take of a car, any of these brands that you buy will always have problems

The D-Max for its newfound interior refinement, tech, and reliability, the Ranger for its most powerful engine and car-like handling and interior, the Navara for its ride quality and comfort, and the Hilux for its effortless performance, off-road ability, and reliability. Both isuzu and toyota has a great reputation when it comes to pickup trucks, also ford and nissan naman what I could say about all of them is that they are all great in their own ways. I usually drive a hilux and hilux is okay aside that it is the most bouncy and most rigid compare to other pickups I already driven, sabagay pickup bakit maghahanap ng comfort at normal na matagtag talaga sya but in hilux sya talaga yung pinakamatagtag yet you feel the rigidity of the truck when you are driving but looking the features and considering it's price tag and if you are going to ask me which one I prefer I rather go with Isuzu or Nissan, both of them have a great specs and exciting features. In short sulit na sulit ang budget sakanila, sa hilux kasi definitely work-focused lang unlike sa navara comfortable pero kung kailangan mo magkarga pwede.

@@ATHREN69 actually wala akong problema sa Toyota. I'm using Toyota Hilux 2018 revo na 4x4 2.8L for 3 years, casa maintained naman sya every 10k kilometers, all out maintenance such as periodic and preventive. Kung sa power ng towing at kargahan wala akong problema also knowing it's a toyota na laging sinasabing reliable, which is true naman gaya nung sabi ko sa comment ko above talagang sobrang rigid nya ramdam mo na matigas sa matigas yung dala mo kaso sobrang tagtag but wala naman syang bitin kahit san akong dalin na situation at kung ano yung dala dala kong cargo. Sa totoo lang on paper, 1 ton lang talaga ang declare ng toyota pero I always use it for 1.5 tons basta sa patag na kalsada lang, no problem dahil pinapacheck ko yan sabay sabay sa casa lahat pati pang ilalim ko wala namang kalampag na nangyari, considering also na mwelye kasi ang toyota compared to navara's comfortable suspension. mas magrerely ka komo matgtag ang toyota. Now the reason why I compared and sort of hating Toyota kasi sa toyota parang brand nalang minsan binabayaran mo oo totoo naman syang matibay, malakas pero sana minsan tapatan man lang yung worth for your buck kung tawagin, such as features and more toys of options unlike dito sa navarra at dmax. Even kasi top of the line ang variant na kinuha kong hilux laging may missing eh and checking the price na sana fully loaded din sya gaya ng ibang sasakyan in this comparison. So the bottomline here is kumuha ka ng sasakyan based sa kung anong pangangailangan mo at I keep on pointing that I sort of hating toyota na minsan parang tinitipid nalang nila yung features pero mas mahal pa ang toyota palagi. I'm looking forward about owning a nissan navara but not for heavy duty or towing but for cruising kasi parang hindi truck ang dala mo sa navara, fully loaded features pa same as well with DMAX.

Hahaha. Not saying na pangit ang hilux but for me watching this comparison lalo sa bagong navara ngayon at dmax hindi maiiwasan na icompare ko yung hilux ko with them and nakikita ko sa toyota is tinitipid yung features palagi although kaya naman sumabay ng toyota sa technology nakakaasar lang and nakaka envy kasi tinitipid nila para bumili ng bagong model pag naglabas sila ng bago hahaha. How about making a part 2 comparo after 2 or 3 years. Hahaha! Ask mechanics, not the casa mechanics but the old timer mechanics from talyers on what they think about these cars. Which of these trucks have the overall durability, parts availability, maintenance costs etc. Just my opinion. Very nice comparo though, i've been waiting for this for a very long time. Nice one sir caco...
@heyjun12833 жыл бұрын
Not to belittle the abilities and skills of talyer mechanics, but I think they wouldn't be able to apprehend those aspects you were asking with high accuracy. Sure, they have learned through experience and could even know what's the problem of a certain automobile without having to thoroughly check the source. The thing is, these pick-up trucks pertain little to none differences between how they're built. To be straight, there's really nothing to compare between these pick-up trucks apart from their interior and features for the price u pay (which were already justified in the video*) and the only most relevant thing that really sets them apart is how the ecu is programmed to efficiently manage the overall performance of the vehicle. And these computer boxes that controls the cars today run way different from how it was back in the day. And I am leaning towards being sue to assert that the talyer mechanics would have a hard time dealing with these computer boxes, let alone to evaluate which one is better. Hence, why I am able to imply that even your idea was somewhat good, it would really be more of an entertainment video rather than a comparo. You might not agree with what I have spitted but this is as far as my knowledge goes when it comes to automobiles.

Would have been nice if they loaded at least 700kg cargo then compared all 4 trucks. How was the suspension, brakes and engine pull... Testing a pickup with only a camera crew onboard the truck doesn't say much about the vehicle's power and handling.

When Caco mentioned reliability, I thought he's gonna say resell value as well.. whew! You know, for the toyota fanboys,, Navara FTW!
@johnnybimmer26613 жыл бұрын
You know someone is a Fanboy when they take car reviewers for "Car Experts." Ask any veteran mechanic, the REAL CAR EXPERTS, and they'll say "Iba ang Toyota" (Toyota is just Different). From raw materials to their kaizen principle. They repaired them all to know the strengths and weaknesses of brands. They would even say even the engine blocks are different. By the way in the US during the 90s and early 2000, Nissans are infamous to mechanics as Disposable cars. Xtrail was a disaster, piss-poor replacement engine, last Nissan I'll ever own. Even their Rustproofing is horrible. Their performance line are great and SUVs are good, but besides that... Pass. Even if they make better cars now, I'd stick to a brand who has been making good cars for decades. Isuzu and Toyota FTW.

For me, Sa hilux padin ako, di ako nag babase sa resale value shit or dahil lang sa badge and features. The reason why is because of reliability, maintenance and parts availability.

Toyota was way ahead in the Philippines sport utility and utility vehicles hence their proven track record, but the competition has matured with better offerings and options and so has new buyers in this very tight utility segment. The choice boils down to getting better value for your money through features or resale value.
