This is bloody awesome to see now. Still think back to when we were sort of new to 4WDriving and you done the Mt.Torrens track and we thought it was the greatest thing ever. Look at the Patrol now, wouldn't know it was the same vehicle! Great video.

Great run down man. Noticed that the interior of the door panels is white, have you put a wrap on it? And if so what's your thoughts on it? How well has it held up to marks and scratches?
@SIDETRACKED4 жыл бұрын
Yep, wrap has stood up to the punishment quite well. Better than i thought it would.

@SIDETRACKED5 жыл бұрын
That is a custom job we built. I believe Frontrunner have slides that take wolf packs.

The only question I have is why the ne3ed for an inverter if what you are using the power for is charging 12V or 5V DC things. Why the need to go to 240v only to bring it back down to 5v (in the case of cameras, computers or phones).
@SIDETRACKED4 жыл бұрын
They don't make a 12v chargers for some of our camera gear or computer chargers.
@Chris-742 жыл бұрын
Looks mint, but can i ask , im an SA boy myself, how do you get away with 4" lift and tyres ?
@SIDETRACKED2 жыл бұрын
Engineered now. Using full kits like the superior gear can help the process become possible.

Love this rig. How did you attach the cargo net to the roof at the rear mate? i can see its over the door handles at the front but not sure what to attach mine too at the barn door end.
@SIDETRACKED4 жыл бұрын
We used mounts off the top seatbelt bolts from the third row seats. Then a cam strap through the seatbelt slot.

Hi mate beautiful Patrol, no car like it! Loved the idea of the cargo net on the inside roof for pillows etc. Which Boab size/model do you have / recommend?
@SIDETRACKED5 жыл бұрын

One of the best and well thought out rigs I've seen, awesome. Surprised you haven't put a locker in the rear though, I noticed quite a substantial difference compared to the factory LSD in my rig.
@thekreedy32015 жыл бұрын
A tight GU LSD performs amazingly man, why replace something that works well until it needs replacing? bahaha
@Leilthold-5 жыл бұрын
Mint build bro. What is the part number of your fox steering damper? I'm building a patrol in central America I already have my 4 shocks but in their page don't show steering dampers for patrols
@SIDETRACKED5 жыл бұрын
Fox 2.0 Performance Series IFP Universal Steering Damper. I don't have a part number but that is what it is, hope that helps.

@peterstaunton-smith5864 жыл бұрын
Out of curiosity do you still run the factory locker in the rear? If so when you doing a segment on it as struggling to get mine working. Are they a wast of time? Cheers
