Check baro and boost pressure correlation koeo. Wee pipe at rear of inlet behind egr blocks dead easily. Blow thru pipe at boost sensor. Quick check

I had this a few times, it was always the Airmass meter. On this model it's also easy to rule out the Egr. You can turn it around 180 degrees and get 1 bolt in there. This way the Egr port is always closed. Just for testing puposes!😁

you maybe correct Tony i tried air mass meter of known good vehicle and rotated the EGR Valve 180 degrees all symptoms are still present/still has hesitation cheers sandy

I have a renault 2003 1.9 engine won't rev above 4000 rpm. And the car losses power going uphill in flat road the car have power. What we have done took the turbo egr cat out for inspection and cleaning. We have bought new MAF and the customer asked us to change the clutch kit with transmission bcz there was noise in transmission.

Havin similar issues . Had a fair bit of oil in air cooler pipes round to egr . Checked all ecu wiring cleaned terminals , starts then dies like it’s all blocked . Checked tubes are turbo boost and turbo flap , had grey smoke out exhaust lots of it , either excess fuel or oil burning off . What a complicated problem and it was running great . The egr was blanked off about 6 months ago as it was always having sooted up issues

Variable vane turbo should have vacuum at the turbo pod / actuator at idle... does the actuator rod move when the engine is started? Low boost at low rpm can be a sign of stuck turbo vanes or broken diaphragm in the actuator rod. A bad maf can also cause low power. Also check for carbon in the intake... if the engine can't breath enough air, it can't build boost / draw lots of air through the maf.

why did they change the engine? did the new engine come with the wiring loom on it, and is it compatable with the doner van ECU, or was it a bare block, and could some engine earths be missing/poor conection/broken or did this fault start some time after the engine was fitted?? or maybe its just a tight turbo

its your turbo mate , I had same problems .squeeze the large black pip on the ecr, it will be soft. get someone to rev engine if it hard then not turbo if soft then it turbo

i suspect the turbo is kaput inside,broken in 2 pieces; now,seriously, as a rule, the first thing we can do in cases like this of very low power, is to put the turbo on --Full Boost, (VERY easy to do,since this one is vacuum actuated,a VGT, but caution, on some the rod extends with vacuum, on others it retracts,so you´ll need to either supply full vacuum,or to vent the small hose open in the air), and take a small ride,this way you know for sure if the turbo itself is good or not.

Sandy two main points , boost solenoid, check to see if its shorted, and also check the wiring with a noid light (should pulse when actuated with your scan tool) .secondly pull the egr valve and physically check it.Regards Joe

did u find out wot is is m8 avin same prob im starting to think either oil getting past turbo seal and going into map sensor or oil going past seal in air vac pump going into turbo boost valve as everything else is brand new iv changed /injectors /maf /map/crank/cam/fuel rail sensor/wiring loom/wheelspeed sensors/clutch position/fuel rail max presaure valve still got same prob tics over revs up wont drive power just shuts off then otherdays its fine for aday

Hi did you sorted the problem cos currently I'm working on my dad van and I put new turbo selonoid was fully loaded with water and boost pressure sensor just in case I fix plastic pipe between odma and turbo cos there was hole refurbished turbo there was big play and refarb all 4 injectors there was massive leak and put new egr and air mass and still se issue I tested engine with smoke machine no leaks and checked all vacuum pipes all good you can start the car straight you drive for about 2 miles and the going in to limp mode and error DF301 lack of air in inlet manifold 😔 I did not check yet regulator valve on fuel pump . I'm just going grey with that bloody van .

Hi sandy are those vacuum pipes in the right place can't quite see on vid. 1 should come from vacuum pump to control valve and from control valve turbo actuator. I have exact same van have had various problems with it including a bad maf with similar symptoms to yours have u tried it with maf unplugged if u need any know good figures let me know.

cheers tried running with maf unplugged but i would say the acceleration is a little smoother, not so stuttery but still lack of boost from turbo until 3500rpm cheers sandy, ps what is your maximum maf reading at 4000rpm as mines is 239 kg/h

Well everyone. Mines a vivaro 1.9 cdti..new maf ,oils ,filters, egr..and smokey and hesitant on first start also poor acceleration feels as if turbo is not working..now although the rev counter is showing no rpm this has never affected its performance until now..?? Turbo would you say needs to be changed..any help appreciate it.

If all the pipes are in the correct place then check for cracks on pipes , if you have plenty of vacuum at the brake pedal then the pump is working fine on top of the pump there is a small plastic port for the vacuum pipes remove this an inside the 4 mm port there is a smaller port about the size of a carburettor jet clean this with nozzle cleaners and refit this is the vacuum supply to all the components you are looking at , make sure all pipes an plugs fitted properly ( since engine has been changed )

Hi there Sandy, did you find out what the problem was? I had that one going about 3 years ago. Changed the flowmeter and seemed to work again... but time has passed and it looks like it's geting harder to get it to kick in at low revs... I'm trying to get a pal to lend me his flowmeter, but I don't think it'll get any better... Its like response to the pedal is kindae...delayed.

I never ended fixing that one, the owner told me he had to replace turbo because the shaft was fractured between impeller and compressor cheers sandy

Not about the topic but I have been searching for sooo long... What is that thing in the upper left corner in 2:04? It has four cables connected to it and it is between pipes? I bought an old primastar and when i opened the hood, those four cables were not connected.

That is the preheater for cooling system, it's like 4 Glow plugs to rapidly heat coolant on a cold start cheers sandy

Have you cleaned egr? I have bought same shit before one month. First day i had to clean that EGR valve, then i put injector cleaner, preventive because they can make shit. I changed all the filters, oils. Then i had problem with gearbox, its changed, and now with oil leak from servo pump. Try injector cleaner, and clean egr manually, good luck.
