Thanks for the video but did you put the brake fluid cap cap back on before you started the car and does the brakes just go back to normal itself after you pushed the piston in. Thanks.

You probably know the answer already by now, but the piston will push forward by itself when you pump the brake. This is done on the parking lot and/or while driving slowly to make sure the brakes are braking nicely. As for the fluid cap - yes, it must definitely be screwed back on a.s.a.p. :)

You forget about 2 very important things. 1 you have not replace old metal pads slides. This rust and grease you put will make it seized. 2 thread locker!! You need to use it always with breaks. Apart from this good video :)

Can you use normal grease instead of copper?

Fraser Poole hi there it’s better to use copper grace

@@izaksmechanics Hi temperature grease is required with brakes. if the car has ABS do not use copper grease, as this can effect the abs system. Use an abs approved brake grease.

Very good explained, but, In my opinion, that mechanic add way too much copper vaseline and most probably is not safe at all because if is very hot that area and that vaseline leak on the brake pads friction surface and will contaminate brake pads and discs you will have no more brakes...

I've known others put grease on back of calipers to stop squealing, is this needed and what was the torque setting for retaining bolt? Good video.

A lot of people will recommend using grease and Inammone of them. But some people will argue they come from the factory without no grease. But I would use grease. But use proper brake pads grease like ceratec
