Nissan Rogue Engine mounts removal

There are three engine mounts. Your 2x4 was blocking the view of mount under the car. There’s a transmission mount under the battery box that is prone to fail also. Might want to check that in the future. FYI all the engine mount bolts are 15mm and the other torque mount with two bolts are 18 mm. I placed the block of wood under the oil pan on flat spot, no problems. Pretty common spot with most cars whenever doing engine mounts.

So I have a 2008 Rogue AWD and was going to change the transmission mount, you said it was under the battery, so removing the battery and the battery tray will give me full access to the transmission mount or do I need to remove the wheel for some of the bolts on the side?

How did you know you had to change the mounts what was the vehicle doing?

On mine it made my car make a weird sound and i thought it was the transmission and also when i accelerate to strong,. it make a "tock" sound i also thoughtwas tha transmission. But it was this stupid mounts.

Hey guys. Really helpful. I just changed the gasket cover. And after a few days of smooth driving then a strange noise came on. When I'm over 60, continues bering. Mechanic thinks could be wheel bearing or transmition. But now that I see this might think could be. However I had moved with my hands the engine and I can't see movemen. Have u had any vibration or movement at urs? Tks.

I did not have to but I did use a jack to support the engine and just removed one at a time
