Thank you Josh! I was able to save like $400 by doing this myself with the help of yours and others videos. I got the starter out without disconnecting the water line. I only removed the radiator fan, although it was a very tight squeeze and I had to remove the two sensor cables to the left of the starter to get enough clearance. You da man!!!

My wife's '17 Nissan Sentra wasnt starting either. Watched your video with the intention of changing the starter after i got off work (had already put a meter on battery/starter the day before and they were fine). Noticed the prompt for pressing the brake pedal on the dashboard wouldnt disappear when trying to start it. Reseated the connectors to the cruise control release switch (you know, the switch that turns on the brake lights when depressing the pedal, practically on the brake pedal itself) and TA-DA it starts up perfect every time. Bought a new OEM one for a little under $20 to keep it running well. Thought id leave a comment here in case it helps someone else's Sentra in the future. Thanks for the video though!

The job of removing the starter motor is easier if you remove the intake, there are 10 10mm bolts that hold the middle of the intake and 5 10mm bolts that hold that part to the head, try it, it's very simple and you will save time and effort. I hope this information is useful to you , good luck 👍🏼

That's how my mechanic told me he did mine ...cost $160 starter $130 labor.....tire plus wanted $300 for sttarrer n 3 hours labor at $150 n hour....so I had it towed to a mechanic shop...guy hit with hammer n got it running..told me no charge. But don't know how long it will last....I said just change it

that's going to be tight. easier to remove the radiator support. you don't want to disturb the gaskets

As long you don't unbolt the line, it wouldn't leak.

Yo fam im about to do this tomorrow on my 2013 sentra . So if i take off the intake will i still have to remove the front end ? Ive seen the bolts on the intake before and i have access to the gasket from a nearby autozone. Cant find a video online to remove the intake but i see most of the bolts so it cant be that hard right take off put new gasket put back in. Would it really be easier doing that than taking the fan off and the front parts?

Changed one today took intake manifold out and car was running in under an hour to get the bolts in the manifold use a long extension and a magnet so you dont lose them
