i had the pleasure to drive this mint condition stock Nissan Stagea Autech 260RS! a very RARE car with only about 1700 ever made.. this car is absolutely insane as its basically a GTR R33 Wagon with all the internals taken straight out of a R33 GTR! this wagon has an RB26DETT (GODZILLA) has R33 GTR drivetrain and R33 GTR gearbox! this is truly a car for practicality as well as still being fun on the back roads! did somebody say the kidz are late for school 😏..
Huge thanks to RS Detailing who had the car fully cleaned before my shoot and the car looked BRAND NEW! if your in the perth area n looking for a detailer i would highly recommend..

My dad used to own one, bought it from a Japanese auction with only 3 pictures. Only thing we knew was that it it had a RB26DETT. We didn’t have any info or history about the car but when it finally arrived at the port and my dad got it working after a while, it was a beast. Pretty sure it was modified, certainly the exhaust was (never heard something that loud from a car). The gearstick also had nismo printed on it and wasn’t stock. And there surely must’ve been things done to the engine. The sound it made was exactly like those extremely tuned Nissans you see in drag racing videos. It’s amazing to say my first time trying a manual gearbox was driving a rb26dett!

I was disagreeing with you about the power until you got it over 4K and discovered where the fun begins lol. In stock form it’s a slug before 4K, but I’m hoping the modifications I’m doing to mine will bring it to life a lot earlier. Good to see more 260RS content on YT 🙂

I found the low down response on the Rb26 car much better than the Rb25 cars. Mine also had some good MCA coil overs so handled far better than the RS FOUR S cars I drove. But really I wanted an RB26 so that's why I paid the Premium for it over the 25 cars. 25 cars are really good too.

​@@RossReviewsau I agree the RB26 is just more special. On paper the Series 2 RS FOUR S (RB25 NEO) and RB26DET (260RS) make similar power stock for stock. But I drove a couple of RS FOUR S and they went well, but 1 felt very light in the rear end with stock suspension. It was also running stock boost and felt very laggy. The other was modified and running 10psi and the stock turbo and went hard, it had coil overs so handling felt better. But by far the RB26DETT with the 2 turbos felt the best. Sounds better and just feels more aggressive, mine has been wound up to 14psi and makes 230kw at the wheels so has plenty of go. I think the throttle bodies on the RB26 help with response and the bigger cooler etc.. along with the Brembo's and bracing. For me it was worth spending the extra to get a 260RS, and I like the body kit on it too. I'm kind of surprised by how much attention is grabs to be honest. I kind of bought it under the mistaken impression it would go unnoticed but car people know what it is and get excited. I always wanted an R32, R33 or R34 GTR so for me the Stagea 260rs is a half price GTR that the whole family can enjoy.

I need to start talking to a broker myself. They’re able to be coming in to United States in the next year, year and a half. Four wheel steer I miss that! Used to have a 1992 Honda Prelude 4 wheel steer VTEC that damn girl out. I miss the car. it handled like it was on rails.

@@RossReviewsau I have always been a station wagon guy. Already got my penpals in Japan and my military friends stationed in Japan looking. Along with a very limited edition Honda NSX R type. My first imported vehicle that I drive around to this day Nissan Pulsar GTI-R Baby Godzilla. Had to wait and pay storage in japan for a year and a half.before she came over a few years ago.

correction.. the Stagea was in competition with Mitsubishi Legnum VR4. the subaru Legacy was LOL compared to Legnum and Stagea. Legnum was 6A13TT 2.5 twin turbo 4WD.. legnum and stagea were rated max JDM 280ps but both were over 300ps

@@RossReviewsau the AYC Actually gives the legnum stupid grip but the straight line power is second to stagea. Legnums are continues 4wd 50/50, stagea is rwd until grip loss and it becomes a 4wd 40/60 which makes the stagea a driftable car.
