So I watched your Nissan Titan Oil change video while I was changing the oil in my 2018 Diesel Titan 🤣. I had a hard time finding the correct Cummins recommended oil so I ordered the whole oil and filter kit from the Cummins store. I am seriously considering changing to Amsoil for my next oil changes. I have talked to a dealer on Facebook and he might hook me up with a dealer about 2 hours away from me. Sales support and talking points would be a big issue for me. I am not a great mechanic but I always do my own oil changes. Another huge selling point is the Supply Chain Crisis. A lot of farmers and truckers in my region ( rural eastern Virginia near the Chesapeake Bay ) have had a really hard time finding the coveted “Shell Rotella 15/40”. Even now I go to my local Advance and Oreillys and the oil shelves look bare. I truly appreciate your motivational and informative video 😃

Eben For a gas engine would it be okay to put engine flush in and then drive for 10 to 15 minutes to my mechanic or does it have to idle?

Great question Dennis You would want to idle it what's happening is the oil is getting thinned out and that basically helps get rid of the deposits off metal when the metal is thinner It doesn't have the same film strength so putting the load on the motor could have a little bit of wear on it so if it was my vehicle I wouldn't drive it I would do what the instruction says and just idle it for 15 minutes now all the buildup won't come out so when you run the signature series more is going to come out as you drive the oil on your next oil change so I always recommend changing the oil filter at about 3 to 5,000 miles depending on how old the vehicle is and how many miles because there's still going to be build up that ends up in the new oil filter because the detergents in the signature series will melt it out of your motor. You'll notice a huge difference when you change the oil filter and that's exactly what I did on my personal car you'll see the SL550 Amsoil engine flush video if you just type it in it'll pop right up. also if you're new to Amsoil I recommend the 6-month PC membership that'll save you a ton of money and when you use my link I would be your Amsoil dealer I would also get the credit for your orders and I can always answer all your questions in the future on the products. Do you run the oil flush on a cold or warm idle?

I always go and get it as hot as I can it really flows out nicely when you drain it when it's super hot so always a good hot engine it is best you just want to make sure you have thick rubber gloves to take the bolt off then is it's really hot

When you dump the old oil with the Amsoil Engine flush after running it 15 minutes, doesn't some of that thinning flush product remain in there, so that when you put in the new oil, some of that oil will be thinned by the product that remained within the engine?

Yes however it's in insignificant for instance if you had a car that held 10 quarts and it left 1 quart in it from old oil that means you would have only 1.6 oz of flush from the engine flush that contain the 16 oz to begin with so if you think about it putting 1.6 oz of anything into motor oil of 10 quarts wouldn't really do anything you could put 1.6 oz of water into a 10 quart crankcase of oil and the fuel dilution would still be within limits or moisture dilution...... etc etc. I did the math that would be .5% water dilution in the fuel and the allowable for normal is under 2% fuel delusion so as you'll see 1.6 Oz is insignificant into 320 oz

I'm kinda late to the party here but I have to throw some shade and facts to the professional geniuses "haters" regarding this particular truck and powertrain lol. The majority of people who gives such negative advice are people who have never owned this particular truck, they just follow the rumors and the big 3 supporters lol! I understand some titan 5.0 owners have had some bad experiences and that's ok and perfectly normal for any automobiles lifespan. I've seen $70,000 Mopar sports cars lose the tranny the same day the car was bought. Gm trucks and full size suvs have been using oil, and destroying piston rings and lifters since 2009 and nobody gives a shit obviously and why?? Here's another fun fact. Almost none of these Debbie downers talk about how a vehicle is drove, abused, neglected, aftermarket parts, etc and that shit matters regarding a vehicles longevity. The big 3 has produced such vehicles for so long they've been able to work kinks out of a new design and move forward but they've all experienced negative issues electronically and mechanically and no one talks about them all these years but it's probably irrelevant to the argument, right..?? By the time the industry provided full deletes and tuning or any other aftermarket part for these trucks they had already been out for nearly 3 years and only lasted 4 and everyone knows that an egr and def system is the absolute diesel destroyers above all no matter what brand so these titans kinda didn't have a chance to prove themselves unfortunately. No one talks about nissan having the absolute best warranty above the big 3, either. Someone mentioned the turbos only lasting between 60,000 and 100,000... I mean, Is this statement your opinions or is it a fact pertaining to each one that was produced and is it the low or high pressure turbo you guys are referring too?Someone said it's around $7200 to replace the turbo, but again, which turbo are you talking about because they're a massive price difference between the 2 and most importantly, are you guys talking about dealership costs to repair it and do you have warranty? I can get a reman turbo for $1800 or a used one for $750 with a 3 month warranty and do it myself for free or pay a mechanic on the side for probably $200-300 bucks. I've owned 2 of these trucks since 2016 and I still have both and both are still working hard! Both trucks have over 140,000 miles and I've put a swingvalve actuator on both and that's it other than a couple hub assemblies. Both trucks are fully deleted ofcourse and have been since 2019. I've owned ford 250s and gm 2500hds, gas and diesel and in my experiences, my titans are just as good and work just as hard and are more than capable. Biggest difference between them and the big 3, the titan rides, handles and drives better and they don't cost $90,000 with a piss poor warranty lol!

You over filled with oil... Manual says 10qts with filter change. You filled the filter and then added 10 qts.

Oh yeah sometimes when you do the engine flush it thins out the oil and you can get more fluid out depending on the oil cooler for instance an S550 Mercedes one of the videos we've done it ended up taking about 1.1 extra quarts and that's common just depending if you tip the vehicle as well

This is complete BS, i JUST tore down a 5.0 cummins for bearing failure (which is a common problem) and there is absolutely no crud, gunk or anything like that anywhere in the engine everything it prestine. If you are putting anything other than oil in your engine your are probably contributing to more early bearing failure. The injectors and intake manifold however were caked with soot so some fuel injector cleaner may help. But these trucks need fresh oil all the time do not put any snake oil in and possibly dilute it youll be sorry, and im not an amsoil hater either, their severe gear gear lube is good stuff
