In this video Jenny looks at the 2021 Nissan X-Trail in it’s top Ti trim. With the all new 2022 Nissan X-Trail slated for release very soon it’s worth seeing what value the outgoing model still offers.
It’s spacious and practical, it is pretty well specced in this trim level, the materials on the inside are really good and the infotainment system, despite looking old and, honestly small, actually does what an infotainment system should.
So, the good news. Expectedly, the X-Trail is more affordable than pretty much any of its competitors with similar spec. It’s cheaper than the Kia Sportage, not to mention the RAV4.
Pricing for the X-trail starts at just under 30k for the ST and climbs up to just over 45k for the Ti Petrol. And that’s not all. With the new model coming soon, I think the prices will drop even further so keep an eye out for some good deals. There are three engines to choose from, but they cant all be selected in all trim levels. Let’s break that down a bit.
We start with a 2 L petrol that produces 106 kW and 200 Nm of torque, the latter from 4400 revs. Yeah, it’s naturally aspirated. It can be paired with either a 6-speed manual and it powers only the entry-level ST trim.
Then there’s a 2.5 L petrol with 126 kW and 226 Nm from 4400 revs. Yep, also naturally aspirated. It is paired with an Xtronic CVT gearbox and it can be FWD or 4WD. It can be selected in ST, ST-L, and Ti, the last one having only the 4WD version.
The outgoing 2021 X-Trail is a good offer. If you are not all about the latest styling directions and hybrid and/or turbo powertrains, the X-Trail Ti’s value proposition is actually pretty hard to beat. Just give it some time before the prices start to go down even further.
