Yes, it is worth it, not many places tell this, but Nissin's own wireless flash system (n.a.s.)Does work with the i 60 a and WITHOUT any other transmitters, just add the air 1 controller and your off to the races, the i 40 However, needs a "translator" to work with the air 1 commander.There is also a power pack (battery booster) p s 8 which allows faster recycle time as well for this small flash system. another issue, the i 60 a also has trouble auto zooming the head with the xt 10, the xt 1 is fine, but haven't got this to work with the xt 10 yet.

You might set it up with the recommended X-T2 settings and see if it works TTL or even with the remote.

How is the AF assist light? Is it the same as on the i40? I hope it's more subtle. I felt that it was too bright and annoying to subjects on the Nissin i40.

Just bought the Nissin i60A flash for my Fuji X-pro 2. It worked this morning for some test shots. Now the RED light comes on briefly, but GREEN light will not come on! I have tried 3 separate sets of "fresh" batteries (2 newly-charged rechargeable eneloops and 1 set of Duracell out of the package) but no GREEN light. AGHHHHH! What am I doing wrong?

Hi, mate. Does it also have a modelling / video light? Also, is its TTL Fuji X -only (I.e., is TTL supported with Sony A7 -series, too)? Does it work remotely with the Fuji X-20 without a Pocket wizard in the flash shoe (I.e., will the camera optically trigger one?). Thanks. 😊

Have the XT1 and XT2 and have been looking for a TTL high sinc flash I know there's a way on the i40 to get high sinc but think the i60 looks beefier.

One thing I noticed was at 3:15 you say it is made in Japan, when it clearly says it is made in China. :) I hope to hell and back that Nissin update it to make HSS work on the X-T2 soon, as the lack of user-upgradable firmware means that buying an i60A and then sending it back for a fimware update will be a major pain in the rear...

XT1 got its "lil flash" in the body that helps with focus.. when in ttl mode and on the fuji xt1 the big flash will not assist focus with the latest firmware.

Hi, I'm told that it 's not possible to do a Nissin firmware update yourself. In the new firmware HSS is possible but you have to send your speedlite in. That update is planned in december I believe.

In the newest firmware HSS is possible with the XT2. You have to send your Nissin in to get the update if you don't have the newest firmware. You can't do an update by yourself. Contact your shop for this. They will send your Nissin to the manufacturer for the newest firmware. There is a HSS button on the Nissin but it is not working without the proper firmware update.

This has high speed sync on the Fuji XT-2? I was told it didn't work and a firmware was in process to be released in November. Photo store on previous update(4) had to send all their stock back to be updated.

Hey Damian, nice video as always, clear precise and easy to understand, well, in your Brummie accent, 😀, only joking. Seriously though, firing it off camera, will it need Flash triggers or does it sync with the camera through a setting. Now I've got a Xpro2 with the 35mm f2 and the 18-135mm for holidays. Generally I'm a Nikon shooter, and nothing or no one can convince me, well not yet anyway, that I should leave my full frame bodies and go permanently with crop, (to big and heavy for holidays) but the images that come out of this Xpro2 are simply mind blowing, although my D810 and my D610 whoops it in low light and just pure image quality. Now look, I'm waffling on, so back to my question about firing off camera, do you need Flash triggers or is there a setting in camera.

Perfect accent for youtube :D I should get a plug in to make it less monotone though! It will need the Commander Air 1 trigger or Di700A from Nissin. As far as I can see that's the only way. Love the Nikon FFs mate, totally hear you :D I don't have mine anymore though

Veaceslav S. HSS doesn't work with radio triggers. I think it only works on this unit when mounted on camera or with a hotshoe cable.

Please try HSS on the XT2 or Xpro 2 with new firmware. HSS does not work on my firmware updated i40.

New xt2 firmware comes at the end of this month enabling the i40 to work with the xt2.

ATG/Nissin rocks over Fuji, Sony, Olympus & Panasonic flashes. You should get the ATG/Nissin Air 1 Commander, then you can shoot wireless radio TTL.

i40 has a GN 40 at 105mm, i60A has a GN 60 at 200mm. You are comparing apples to oranges. It would have been meaningful if you used the same zoom.

At the time there wasn't much available for Fujifilm X and as we had the i40 it was worth putting them side by side.
