Would have been nice to here performance numbers. Useful load, max speed at sea level, cruise speed at sea level, fuel burn for those speeds, etc

Can't say specifically but with gyros I presume Cub speeds on higher fuel burns but with great climb rates and low speed handling.

@@hogey74 You are probably right, the website says max speed 105 Kt, but I'm assuming that's VNE. Video snippets I found were all 93-97 km/h so about 50 kt.

I flew in a Gyro that did way better than that. Top speed was 150mph. Sustained. Woukd not go faster cause of being Governered for F AA rules of Classification. But at 75%-80% throttle, it flew at 115kts. at 4gal. an hour fuel rate burn with up to 600 mi. Dist. On one tank. So you tell me? I still want to by that Rigg and be Flyin' all over the Place at a Cost of $12-$15 bucks an Hour. So it Can fly affordable too.

Saw this at Sun 'n Fun - the engineering and fit and finish are exceptional! One thing I wonder about, though - looks like those long sharp angles in the canopy would cause a lot of optical distortion vs a smoothly curved canopy like most copters and planes have.

Yeah my buddy built his for $14k not including labor costs. This isn't a kit, so somewhere around $60-70k is reasonable. $160k is just absurd.

My tool cabinet slides are rated for 500Kg each, how much are your rated at? Given the Nisus cockpit slides only operate when parked on the ground you can sleep safely LOL.

I think the future for autogyros, will be hybrid electric, as the new rotors than need to slow down for faster flights should be hooked up to an intelligent Re-gen system, with 2 x cap/bat packs. One gets the re-gen, while its not on load! Thats the trick!!! So range extension is possible.

These things have grown on me since Europeans with a clear fondness for staying alive have taken them beyond the contraption stage. As with the rest of GA I do think they're crying out for a true, full envelope recovery system however.

There are interchangeable. I am a former US Army helicopter mechanic and former Part 147 instructor that worked on civilian helicopters as well. We used to say helicopter or airplane all the time to refer to the aircraft. It's the same reason why some people call asphalt "Tarmac" because that was the original brand name for the material. Like calling another citrus based powered drink, "Tang" even if it's not real Tang.
