Great comparison! I have both and find myself favoring the 29, mainly for the extra light output and run times. I rarely use the turbo modes, but it’s nice to know it’s there if needed. I also prefer the manual lockout button. My only minor complaint is that I wish the lockout had MEMORY. There is a SEMI and a FULL lockout but the light always defaults back to FULL whenever it is used. I prefer carrying the light in SEMI, which requires an extra step to activate, but it’s not a big deal.

I like the flat profile compared to the traditional round. Much more carry able.

Happy that these new models have the screens. I thought they were moving away from them with EDC25. Being able to know exactly how much run time you have at a glance is so much better than trying to work backwards from a memorized run time. i like the EDC23 battery is only a bit smaller but is MUCH shorter at 4 inches instead of 5.3.

its a shame that the lumen shield only activates with full press, I have the EDC27 OG and the full press (strobe mode) is not working properly all the time, is not so bad at all but full i think full press tend to fail over time.
