I honestly could not use the first nitro deck since the right stick placement was causing a lot of wrist pain. Happy to see all the revisions, although it does sting a bit that I couldn’t return the original.

YES! Symmetrical sticks in the Wii U orientation, finally! The GamePad and Wii U Pro controller are still some of the most comfortable gaming peripherals ever imo. Love to see that layout implemented here.

It's crazy how simple some additions to this controller sound, and yet you guys were the first to make it. The sidekick buttons seem like a useful step forward in what controllers already are, so it'd be cool to see you guys start the wave of this innovation. And even outside of other controllers: moving the charging to up top and allowing handheld docked version of the switch? It's like other companies were staring at this idea but couldn't actually notice it. And for the price, I may have to grab this and test it out. It sounds JUICY

Small correction: Scuff did the "side kick" buttons before this on their envision controller. And nexigo did the dock/grip hybrid for their gripcon gen 3. But yeah, I'm definitely thinking of getting this too since it looks like the wiiu.

yup. super awakward, no matter what they do they can’t seem to fix the comfortablity issues with the right side buttons/stick. I see it being beneficial for arcade and d-pad heavy older games, but using analogue with the main a,b,x,y buttons will be super uncomfortable over extended play times. And it’s even more frustrating cause they sold so many of these the first wave because IGN promoted the crap out of them and I’m sure a lot of people realized quickly that they were pretty much scammed cause they don’t use more than IGN for gaming news outlets, when they were already getting poor reviews for comfortability elsewhere online but IGN is a huge source for gamer news, so seems sketchy they’re releasing another wave “addressing issues” when they are just milking sales thanks to IGN false gloating about the deck. You want a comfortable solution look up Hori Split Pad Compact, and they’re licensed by Nintendo unlike this scam product.

Biggest issue for me was the right stick was positioned too low to be comfortable for extended play. I wonder if the ABXY buttons will now be too low.

I’ll wait to see if it still shorts out on OLED models like the base model. The few hours of functionality I had were PHENOMENAL. The multiple replacements that didn’t work out of box were not.

Having the 4 buttons mapped to the back is prefect. Would rather have a comfortable stick with my thumb perfectly placed than the older OG design. Been playing duty for years utilizing back buttons as action buttons for xyab. This will be a seamless transition for me. Look forward to it.

Are the buttons any closer to the top? With the original the bottom joystick is difficult to reach. Feels like the problem is just reversed now unless the buttons are higher

you have the sidekick button and the back buttons to program to the face buttons so you shouldn't need to use them.

I'm so stoked to get mine, I shelled out the money for a steam deck oled special edition, so this will make my switch match with the clear black. My WHOLE gaming setup is the old school clear shells in that smokey black so I'm ecstatic. After my 3rd switch dock died on me I'm ready to turn this into a Nintendo deck with virtually all the same functions as my steam deck. The thing I would recommend, that you could easily program and send through an update, is a mapping profile mode. Press and hold the remap and turbo buttons for 3 seconds to cycle through profiles of button mapping for different games. Or something like that.

I'd like to see some of these features get added to a new version of the original with similar (but improved) stick placement of the original. The only two complaints I have about the original are it being difficult to eject and the stick on the right being a little too close to the buttons. Other than that I really do like it.

The only thing l do wish was in the original Nitro Deck or Nitro Deck+ is the trigger buttons to feel like the regular Nintendo Switch ZR and ZL triggers because they just don't feel right.

My only complaint with the nitro deck is the power button, it's too bright. If i try to play at night i have to block it with my wrist but that adds to find discomfort over time. Is there any way to shut this off?

I am huge fan of your products and already using nitro deck black edition 😎 and l start loving portable gaming as well. Already preordered Nitro Deck + edition (also waiting for carrying case to be released). Thanks for the massive update on newer version (super that’ve aded bluetooth option, its’ very convenient now). The only “negative” thing l’ve faced that l couldn’t upgrade software on Nitro Deck (downloaded official software is giving an malware suspicious activity, and antivirus blocking it). Hopefully l will be able to upgrade through mac in future 🙂👋

I still haven't heard if I'll be able to use the deck as a controller while also using it as a dock so I can use it with my Xreal glasses and my Anker 737 battery, without having to also carry an extra controller, but I guess I can just pack an extra Neo S if I can't. I'm hoping it'll still be recognized as a USB controller, just like the original.

We've added more space, separating the back from the Switch. As well as an easy eject system, so you don't have to apply any pressure to the screen.

Personally I liked the layout of the original and the only change I wanted was getting rid of the back buttons as I just find them useless and uncomfortable but thats just me I do like the addition of the HDMI out on the plus but for me personally I'm gonna pass because I love how the original feels and like the layout better myself (and minus the back paddles it's my favorite switch accessory tho)

Ugh the ND+ only shows in 2 color in the video, I believe you have mistaken and sure, providing more color does mean more revenue, but you’re going to have to increase cost of production it’s almost not worth it. It helps if you know what you’re talking about.

The PTFE rails used to guide the console into the deck have been altered so there is more space between the back of the Switch & the backsplash.

The Nitro Deck + will fit in the OG carrying case, but might not fit as snug as some might like. So keep an eye out for something in the future!

I don't have the Original CRKD Nitro Deck, but i'm not gonna buy it anymore, because Nitro Deck+ is coming, and it looks really more powerful and beautiful Handheld Controller for Nintendo Switch without the Joycon Drift what I sadly have on my Joycons, but gladly there is CRKD Nitro Deck (the Purple Retro One is my favourite, but it's also very pricy) and upcoming Nitro Deck +. Can't wait for it's Relase i'm so hyped! 🎉❤😊😮
