I agree with you. I try to use new oem seals and dust boots/covers but, sometimes you just have to do whats needed to keep the engine going. - Most all the vintage, new old stock seals I have purchased recently, have been in good shape. I’ll be interested to see how your replacement comes in. Keep us posted Both the J and M carbs are nice and work well. Thanks for the fun vid Todd 🩷 Glad to know you are doing well

Can you let me know which Molykote to use. The brand Molykote has quite a few products and I would like to use the right one. Great channel Todd, thank you so much.

What receiver battery do run in your cars? I had a protek one originally for my kyosho mp10 rtr but switched it over to ny tekno nb48 2.1. Power lead came undone at the factory solder joint....caused a run away at the track... day ended wasn't fun. Thoughts or tips for the battery? Motor is fine btw thank God, clutch shoe broke off when it got wedged under a fence and it killed it. Hard lessons learned lol

I switched to lipo receiver batteries in my buggies and will never go back. To be honest, I buy the cheapest ones I can find, largest capacity that will fit in my receiver box. But I do a couple things. I switched my buggies power switches from the small crappy(imo) jst connectors to Dean's plugs. This has greatly reduced the number of issues I have with the setup. Second I run a mechanical fail safe in the form of throttle return rubber bands. Of course, you must have electronics capable of running high voltage (7.4v lipo) which you probably do with a protek in a tekno. 6v hump packs are the best low voltage choice, and I still recommend changing them to Dean's or similar low loss connectors. I personally run OS P3's, but it is generally not recommended to run OS plugs in Novarossi engines. The OS plugs work great, the issue is when you go back to a Novarossi plug after running the OS, it may not seal properly. But seeing as how the Novarossi plugs are no longer made, and they are becoming harder to find, why go back anyways. So to sum up, no I'm not recommending you switch your Novarossi engine to OS plugs, as it may "damage" the head button. I am saying that I have been running OS plugs in all of my Novarossi engines(all my turbo engines) for years with fantastic results. P.S. the latest Novarossi recommended plug was the c6. While they will be hard to find, there are still a few out there. You can also look for plugs made by Novarossi for other brands (RB, Top, Rex, etc.) Thanks for watching
