I'm honestly glad you liked the game more than hated it. Personally, I enjoyed Pac-Man World 3, but I understand the faults people had with it and agree entirely. My favorite parts of the game is the dialogue, it's great when Pac and Erwin snap back at each other with witty remarks. Whoever wrote the dialogue had an interesting direction. That's for sure. xD And now, we hope that Namco Bandai release a Pac Man World 4 or some new present day Platformer Pac-Man games with all the best elements from all games in HD. A guy can only dream. But after Rad talked that DON BLUTH was writing a gritty and dark story/world for a new game, I'm so mad we never got to see his dream realized. THAT SCENE IS ONE OF THE THINGS THAT MADE THE GAME AWESOME!!!!! Welp, maybe I was exagerrating, but even though there were a few times when the game could be a bit off with its gameplay segments, in-game 3D, questionable lack of music at points and some of its conversations like in Gogekka Central where Pac-Man was aware that Orson and the Construction Worker with the entirely resonating Northern American accent had were going too off-topic by going "You two need to snap out of it! We have a job to do, so we do the job! It's pretty straightforward! 😠", it's awesome that Nitro Rad would review Pac-Man World 3 so fairly because like its predecessors, it does have adorable cutscene visuals (even though Pac-Man World 1 and 2 have great in-game visuals, let alone for their time in the early sixth generation era of gaming), emotionally atmospheric sound pieces, a high sense of adventure even for gaming standards (something Call of Duty, Modern Sonic most if not all of the time and Bubsy are clearly gaming franchises that sorely lack of), a very vivid and creatively different story and some of the most interesting acting that can ever be found, specifically a video game (looking at you, 4Kidz Sonic!) to help make the characters strong, especially Pac-Man himself!

I don't mind a cheery protagonist being part of a darker storyline now and then. Certainly breaks the monotony, and it's always a perfect opportunity to put a little lore into something that may not have had much lore before. No real need to keep the tone the exact same for every single game, it's not like it automatically changes the character's core identity. Different doesn't mean bad. Pac-Man was 25 years old by this point, ya can't expect at least a LITTLE bit of change to just not happen.

The Ghost Bayou is part of the larger Ghost Island. Theoretically, in the mansion levels (like Ghostly Garden), if Pac wandered off the beaten path enough he could have ended up in the Bayou. @inkfire22365 жыл бұрын
Dialogue for Orson said he moved somewhere more "substantial" which could probably mean he moved to ghost island for his experiments

Pac-Man World 2 is still Ghost Island, just completely haunted and, swampy, it’s also just a full extension of Toc-Manor, plus the Spectral Realm is an another dimension where the ghosts actually come from, Ghost Island is just their “real world” location.

I think World 3 has the potential to be a great game, but most of it is not realized, which is ultimately disappointing. And since 3D platformers have been making a comeback in recent times, a Pac-Man World 4 (or at least a complete remake/overhaul of World 1) would fit right in now more than ever.

@michaelrobosa1462 жыл бұрын
@@juliannavarretealvarez3070 For Pac-Man World 4, they would have to expand the storytelling, explore the Pac-Man lore, and more challenging levels, with new move sets, while retaining the tone of Pac-Man, which is fun, entertaining, and full of challenges. Also, if they're gonna do a Pac-Man World 4, I hope they use the old Pac-Man 3D design from the World Trilogy, not the Pac-Man model from Ghostly Adventures. The Pac-Man model in Ghostly Adventures looks more human, which is not who Pac-Man is. They're trying to humanize Pac-Man, but it didn't really work. Pac-Man having the classic Pac-Man eyes works better, and with no voice.

Did you know that there was a lot of cut stuff in Pac-Man world 3 mainly due to Namco telling Blitz games that they’re not canceling the game if Namco doesn’t use their money on the game and it was released in 2005, so Blitz had to use their own money to finish the game and we’re on a small time frame so the ideas and levels they wanted to put in didn’t get in like a shop to buy items, collecting power pellets and using them whenever, and a thing called Fruit smoothie. This game was basically an unfinished game that was polished up to get it on the door date of 2005. It saddens me that both Adventures and this game were cut and cut short of there production.

OH yeah for sure. Those games actually have more focus on shooting and blowing dudes up than platforming, so it feels like the focus is where it should be.
@elin1116 жыл бұрын
True, I recently played them and the platforming is a lot more simplistic than something like the first Jak or Spyro. I was also surprised at how much Insomniac directly borrowed from the Spyro games for that trilogy too.
@RagingKarma26 жыл бұрын
To be fair its platforming combined with run and gun mechanics mixed in making simple platforming challenges actually harder.
@elin1116 жыл бұрын
Fair point, the run&gun would be less effective if levels were more direct obstacle-courses. Jak 2 and 3 had a different approach to platforming with shooting where some levels are built specifically for platforming while others are built specifically for shooting. And then there's all the vehicles and minigames but that's besides the point since they're not regular levels. But for Ratchet & Clank I think it's better that they kept the focus on run&gunning because clearly that's what they wanted to do the most.

This is an amazing video! I hope you'll continue with Pac-Man games in the future. I loved this series. But I must say, I am EXTREMELY glad that you mentioned Blinky and Clyde getting mixed up! That has annoyed me for years. Thanks for all of your hard work!

Anyone else wondering what the hell happened to Sue in this series? I grew up knowing five ghosts, Inky, Blinky, Pinky, Clyde, and Sue.... WHERE'S SUE?

StCerberusEngel She was resurrected as a Pac-person running the arcade

Well her last appearance was in 256

Sue wasn't in the original PAC-MAN arcade game. She actually started out in Ms. PAC-MAN as a replacement for Clyde (even though she was basically just Clyde under a different name in that game, since she was the same color as him as opposed to future portrayals where she's purple). Her disappearance could have something to do with the legal issues involving Ms. PAC-MAN. Read up on it, it's a really interesting mess.
@Nic_27514 жыл бұрын
Bubbabyte no it’s a different character now, I mean SHE WAS IN THE CARTOON AS A PURPLE GHOST and Pac-Mania again as purple so Namco obviously owns the character as well as the fact that she isn’t Yum-Yum from Pac-Man Jr.

I love this game, easily my fave of the trilogy, i didn't mind the combat, certainly didn't affect my enjoyment of the game. I really wish Namco would make a Pac-Man World 4 but sadly it doesn't seem likely at this point.

As someone who played World 2 first... I honestly really liked World 3. Maybe its because I'm a sucker for scifi stuff so I'm definetily biased, but idk it just gave me Ratchet N Clank vibes so I really enjoyed it.

I grew up with the Pac-Man World games, and not many people have given them the time of day. I always thought they were pretty solid and I’m glad through your popularity on this site you may open the door to many others. I particularly like this review as I actually love Pac Man World 3 and I’m really happy to see someone not bash on it for a half hour. Because of these reviews I have looked at your other videos and you make some great content!

The “PAC-MAN Adventures” thing is interesting because in the Windows version, the game’s executable file is called “PMA_W32_M.exe” the PMA most likely standing for PAC-MAN Adventures, it seems Blitz games never even bothered to change the exe name when they were given the reigns to reshape it into a World game.

it's always crazy to watch you talk about old games that i use to play when i was little. Thank you for teaching me about games that i just saw as just another game but is acutally something more then that :)

AnimeWolfgamer nice! So, I guess that means the Xbox version is the best way to play the game. With PS2 being the second best, GameCube being third best, and the PSP version being the worst way to play the game. By the way the DS version doesn’t count because it’s different from the console versions.
