Is that the motor mount on top of the o e freeze plug that has 3 bolt holes around it. 😎

Yes, the three holes are for the motor mount.

Uncle Tony says no RTV cause you want them to push out if the engine freezes. Want them to press out easy. Me I see what he is saying but I'd still think it would push an RTV glued in freeze plug easier than cracking the block?🤷🏻‍♂️

I would rather not have leaks and the rtv helps prevent corrosion between the plug and block. I keep antifreeze and maintain my rigs good enough that I don't have to worry about freezing. I'm just showing how I've done it for my whole life and was tought by other engine builders as a kid. If you don't feel comfortable using rtv, don't use it. It's all a matter of preference.

I guess he was more talking about it for race applications where your running straight water and may forget to drain the block?? I don't know. I always put antifreeze in my stuff as well and don't worry about my engine freezing, now I also live in SC but if I lived in a colder climate I'd make sure I kept the coolant mix proper

I was always told to not seal them cause if it freezes it will let the plug blow out

That is not the intended purpose of those. They are actually sand casting holes. They are there to get the sand out after the block is cast.

So mutch money in a 305 way not a 5.3 or 6.0 bor the 5.3 to a 5.7 or bor and strok the 6.0 to a 408 what is the reason for a 305
