Great video! Do you think the Recons are aggressive enough for loose, deep sand (beach) driving? I’m currently running the Ridge but wouldn’t mind something with a little better on road performance - if it would still perform in sand…

Yes if you want to stay within the Grapplers, Recon is better, and a good compromise overall.

Yes, the new Terra Grappler has updated siping, dual sidewall design, variable pitch technology and 3PMSFR.

Recon grappler is the new AT its not a combination

Yes, the tire is marketed as All Terrain, but it's tread tells otherwise. Hybrid is simply a mixture of two tires, so in this case, it has a lot of resemblance to Nitto Ridge + Toyo Open Country RT. Another classic example of hybrid tire (marketed as AT) is Goodyear DuraTrac.

@@comparethetire the dura Trac was developed before a classification of hybrid they marketed it as an aggressive all terrain. Toyo and nitto coined the term hybrid tire. Actually using mud terrain carcus with a all terrain center tread a d mud shoulder for the toyo open country RT that's and a less aggressive nitto ridge grappler which uses a all terrain carcus mud shoulders and sidewalls. The Terra is being phased out in replacement of the recon its just an agressive all terrain they developed because the design was underwhelming on the terrain grap. Falken At3w has the exact same concept but that is in no way consider a hybrid. Just an all terrain with bigger shoulder lugs
