11Bravo says it all to me. Why is the sky blue?? Because God loves the Infantry!! What makes the green grass grow?? Blood!! Blood!! Blood!! I feel you, my brother. I hope you will give God a chance. John 3:3, Jesus said, "No man can see the Kingdom of Heaven, Lest he be born again..." The book of Romans explains how to become "Born again" Know this, the 1st birth is of the flesh (water)... the 2nd birth is spiritual. You must have this 2nd birth to go to Heaven. Soldier, follow the instructions of the Field Manual and obey your lawful order. In your heart, you know it is just, true and right. When this life is over, you will stand tall before the Man. And He will require you to account for your actions. Do not let Him down. Hope to spend eternity with you, my 11Bravo brother. Manchu, Keep Up The Fire....

My mother passed away from aggressive cancer this past year. I thank God for giving me the strength to get through it without her. I was very close to her, and as a teenager I haven't been more than 1 week at a time from her. He has been so gracious to me, for I had turned and forgot about Him. But He showed mercy and called me back, and now I am at peace & stronger in faith than ever 🔥 #kidneycancerawarness🧡🖤

Lost my Mother when I was 3 in 1965. Boo hoo...Diabetes. Oh, how she suffered. Last thing I remember is them wheeling her away into the hospital on a stretcher. My 3 year old brain didn't understand that mommy wasn't coming back. Spent the rest of my adult life trying to fill the empty void she left with alcohol. I am 55 now and the jury is still out on that one. I am saved according to John 3:3. I believe that this video is a portal to how it will be in Heaven. Christian brothers and sisters raising voices in praise and in solidarity. If I meet my mom in Heaven or if I don't, I believe that Heaven will be such a place as this... where there is peace and love and brotherhood and sisterhood. I for one, can not wait for that day when I'll Fly Away... Love to all of you, and to my mom... and to Uncle Don and Aunt Dotty...woot...Ol Sarge...

So many legends up there... So glad to see Marty Raybon up there too. Cool story about him... I was working at an amusement park where he and his son came to visit on vacation back around 96'. I asked him if he was Marty from Shenandoah, he confirmed he was. I asked for his autograph, and he obliged, but not before asking if I knew Jesus. I did! But, that's never left my memory. I feel like in many ways I am a better man today for following Marty and his music.

You're in luck then, Christianity is NOT a religion. It is a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. If you can read Matthew, Mark, Luck and John. What you will find is it was the religious people who sought to take his life. Jesus's criticisms were toward them. He did only good. He healed the sick, the lame and the lepers. He preached salvation and he preached the truth. The religious people hated Him for it. They lied, they falsely accused Him and convicted Him. THEY demanded He be crucified. He offers salvation to all.

I'm an atheist (don't try to convert me, I'm perfect where I am). We used to sing this song at the beginning of the gatherings at my Grandma's hippy community. Most of them are either atheist or don't believe in heaven as the afterlife (Hindus, Buddhists, Sikhs) but it's tradition. No song can give me a sense of community like this.
@del1rn4 жыл бұрын
I certainly hope you have changed your mind about atheism, repented & confessed Jesus as your Lord and Savior. Do you want to lose everything, and not have any further fellowship with these wonderful people you just listened to, and most of all not have our God, the creator of everything, as your best friend who gave you life and all things that are good in this life and in the life to come?

Looks like it was written in 1907 as a hymn and adapted with different lyrics on 1935 by the Carter Family more as a funeral song. The 1971 version by NGDB uses the Carter Family lyrics. It's still one of the greatest albums ever recorded. With Mother Maybelle Carter and Roy Acuff front and center it helped revive traditional country music.

Can't find my comment, if I ever made one. I'm a video game enthusiast. Hence why I found this song. Lost both of my grandmother and my father fairly close to each other in 2019. Now, I'm a staunch pagan, but I have to tip my hat to an American ensemble who can see that death isn't the end. Things will continue. A wise man said, a man is not truly dead while their name is still spoken.

This was one of the first albums I've ever owned. My brother was tired of me playing Derek & the dominos and Black Oak Arkansas all of the time so he gave me this album and Roy Clark LIVE. I didn't know it at the time but it would be a gift that would last my entire life! I play this song every time I stand on stage and play my guitar and I would trade a leg to be on that stage jamming with Del McCoury and his son, Marty Stuart and Jeff Hanna and every one else up there. I sure hate to hear this called crap because its one of the few true american art forms and I'm sure the crap callers don't have anything better....
