Nivada really nailed this reissue, one could be fooled to think this is a NOS piece. An advantage of those pressed clasp can be, that they are thinner compared to a fully milled one. And I’d think it doesn’t really speak to the overall quality of a piece, a pressed claps doesn’t mean it’s a bad piece nor does a milled one equal a high quality piece, depends on more than that. I really like the distortion of the crystal! The lack of a instruction manual is an oversight, even tho not really needed. Their choice of movement is good, finally no ghost date, unlike the many pieces with a SW 200! Thanks for the review! Was quite enjoyable.

Great review, I love my Super Antarctic, I ordered mine on the BOR bracelet and have found that this watch also looks great on leather as well as a tropic strap. It suits my needs perfectly for a daily wear, beater that has a classic look. The heritage and value are solid in my book.

Exceptional review, you really get down to the exact requirements of daily use. The P024 seems to be giving you a lot of feedback through the crown.... Nice. That exceptional finishing is well above the price point. The big players could learn from the fit and finish of this watch. The watch is silky and the perfect improvement to the original design. I have a 7.5 inch wrist so it would wear a little small on me.. I love it! If only it was slightly larger.

Excellent review! I own the first re-issue of this watch (same black dial, white lume but slightly different crown) and I love it. Just stunning and a joy to wear. + 3 seconds a day too. I opted to buy it on a leather strap (I own forty million 20mm straps) and tend to prefer watches on straps (had it had drilled lugs or a quick release bracelet, I'd have gone for the BOR). I can't say I agree with you knocking off points for a warranty card when it has a warranty (just more paper), but I'm also a weirdo who wishes I could save money on watches by skipping fancy packaging and straps/bracelets (i.e. if I could just buy the watch head, I'd do it on many occasions). Your review is one of the best I've seen thus far however and I applaud you. Take good care.

Excellent video! I would say the most comprehensive review of the Superantarctic on KZbin. I own the watch, and I love it. I really agree with all your comments and highlights. Nevertheless, there's one flaw about the bracelet that nobody has pointed out so far: the screws!!! They are of really poor quality. Some are almost impossible to unscrew. Others work better. I really suggest a serious quality check on that. Continue with you great contents!!!

I couldn't resize my bracelet due to not having a small enough screwdriver, so I put the watch on a leather strap, and more recently a mesh bracelet. Your comment is very helpful as I plan to put the original beads of rice bracelet back on. Thank you. Out of interest, which dial did you go for?

They increased the size, added a sapphire crystal, added a screwdown crown, changed the case shape around the lugs, and added a bracelet (the 1950s original would have been offered only on leather as far as I can tell, with some people using third party bracelets from the likes of Forstner or Speidel). Given all those changes, I don't know why they wouldn't have used a milled clasp.

Therefore the pressed clasp gives it a 1950's or 1960's vintage aesthetic. The other reason is lower production cost, and higher profit margin per piece. Regards, #WR4K

Milled clasp, oh the horror. This watch looks great on leather, tropic, and a 2 piece perlon , save yourself $200. I love mine.

Indeed, I opted for mine on leather (as well as a Tropic). I did pickup a Strap Code straight end quick release for times I want it on a bracelet and it is great (and doesn't hide those magnificent shaped lugs).

Good review as always. I feel that as they have upgraded the glass and AR they should have upgraded the bracelet clasp etc. Its above Chinese makes like San Martin that has a milled clasp etc. This not worth 5 x+ the price IMHO. Nice watch though

Not sure you have time to answer what is likely a silly question on a four-month old video, but I was confused as to the model number. You have indicated it is a 32025A, but the indices have a green tint if I am not mistaken in the video and look more like the 32026A? I am finding it difficult to tell these two models apart on the video reviews I have seen. Nonetheless, this is an excellent review, the first of yours I have watched, and I have subbed to watch many more. Wonderful presentation of the watch.

This piece is the 32025A with white lume in daylight conditions. My studio lighting is charging the Superluminova making it glow green in the video. The 32026A has green lume in daylight conditions. Regards, #WR4K

As these have been out for a little while check for negative comments. Mine arrived nonfunctional. Sent it back to the AD for a refund. Nivada has yet to respond to my message from three weeks ago. The comments from buyers that order direct is that the received the watch from China, and get hit with import taxes because of Chinese parts percentage. One reported $150 extra.

Really bad. I had a defective watch arrive. Nivada has not replied to my message after three weeks now. Returned it to the AD, but got no refund on my shipping to and from ($70). Also note that customers are starting to post that they are getting hit with import taxes, as the shipping appears to be from China.

Hands too skinny and that big bulbous circle on the hour hand seems to be missing something. Otherwise nice watch.
