Great break down of the passes, and thanks for not being too hard on the parental unit. 😁 Love the content, it always teaches me something

That's what test and tune days are for. Try different things and see what works and what doesn't. I bought my last car as a roller and put it together and headed for the track. My first pass scared the starting line crew because it pulled the front end and headed straight for the tree. I got it stopped and found out the previous owner had cheaped out and used solid rod eyes in the rear suspension and one had broke. I replaced all of them with Heim ends and never had anymore problems with that. The next three sessions ended up with one pass and back on the trailer. I finally got it ironed out and it became a consistent bracket car..

@@Calvin-Nelson I believe you. I drag race my 2011 ZX14. After learning how to lunch @ 7,000 rpm. I could not pull my leg up to shift before red line.

That car looks like a blast! Sweet build. Just FYI, looks like you're starting your burnout in 1st gear, and that's really hard on the low roller sprag when shifting to 2nd. Start in 2nd and shift to 3rd is much easier on the transmission.
@Calvin-Nelson2 жыл бұрын
I've heard so many different theories on the burnout. Don't know who to believe.
@jondahl31732 жыл бұрын
@@Calvin-Nelson You can start the burnout in 1st, but only get the tires moving, short shift to 2nd and roll them up from there. If you can get them spinning in 2nd in the water, then start the burnout in 2nd.

Any information you get at a track day is good, even if it’s not the out come you are looking for, consider this, if the wastegate had failed at the no name nationals you would have had a really bad day, so that’s good that you were able to sort some stuff out here close to home

How would those 78 75s spool on a 6 liter on the street. I have a loose converter

They spooled ok on my Wagon with a 6.0L. Some people are more tolerant to lag (myself included).

That's crazy they let a bike and car run each other. My local track had all the bikes run separate

I was surprised how little. Change there is letting off at the 1/8th vs running it out in an 8 - 9 second car. In my case only a couple of tenths. I could coast to 9.2x or run it out and go 8.9-9.0
