Restoring the Blue Lake Lands to Taos Indians

President Nixon signed a Bill- H.R. 471 which enacted Public Law 91-550, returning 48,000 acres of Blue Lake Lands in New Mexico to the Taos Blue Lake Indians.

I had heard about this while visiting the Taos Pueblo. I loved this speech. While nearly 50 years ago- this was proactive and progressive. Thanks to Nixon for his work on this and thanks for posting it where I could find it.
