I think horrortale is one of the saddest au's my reason for this being the fact that the monsters were so filled with hope and joy when frisk fell down that they truly believed they would be set free but when frisk left and never came back after killing asgore the whole underground fell into despair and as the time continued and everyone's hope died out everyone started to believe they would never leave the underground and just stopped caring and just went crazy from the loneliness and the trapped feeling of never leaving the never ending cycle of the underground (P.s thank u if you even read all that)

10:00 that option in windings is “Gaster?” Theoretically speaking, gaster would have probably killed alphys because he was still alive, but kinda like an algamate, gaster could always just resurrect from the void because alphys might have created something that gaster can use to get himself out of the void (remember that skull looking thing in the true lab? What if she used that to bring him back?) but this also triggers sans into killing the player because sans and papyrus are the only ones who can speak windings and to know about gaster. ( my theory doesn’t make sense but it’s the least I can give)
