Nizar I'm struggling so hard on the Godskin boss. I've used all your tips and I just cannot beat him. I always run out of Health and FP and I have used all of the trina lillies in limgrave and weeping peninsula.

@ZeR0 I had major trouble aswell. I didn't use sleeping pots tho, I got my wolf summons to lvl 3, reduvia to lvl 3, and used the dragon seal at lvl 2 to boost scarlet rot breath. I didn't use the poison mist at all cuz everytime I cast it mans would spam fireball.. used 2 health and 5 fp flasks, also go beat Margit first and get the canvas talisman to boost incantations (it's in the seline caves (where the dragon ruins trap chest brings you) Or you could swap the wolf summons for jellyfish and try to bounce the apostles agro back and forth

Use the poison mist first when the Godskin is asleep, he won’t immediately wake up so you can proc poison then rot. poison mist doesn’t do damage so it doesn’t aggro enemies - you can cheese some tough enemies like this if you feel like it

My first character was trying to follow this build 72+ of playtime hrs later I got the sword and another 24-48 hrs of playtime later I deleted it. Not saying it's a bad build but I had limited knowledge and RNGesus didn't favor me. Knowing better now I think I might just try this again as a solo run. Last point as a FF player I originally expected a H2H build which was another unsuccessful build for learning in the first few playthroughs.

Glad I followed this guide. 14:53 For anyone else that was struggling with the Fallingstar Beast in Sellia Crystal Tunnel, skip that until you’ve used the guide to get the following: - Upgrade Godslayer’s Greatsword to +5 (as mentioned in guide) - Wonderous Physick with Flame-Shrouding and Dexterity-Knot - Extra Talisman slot - Arsenal Charm - Monk Armor with Cleanrot greaves - Flame, Grant Me Strength incantation Then go back and pop your Wonderous Physick and Flame, Grant Me Strength just be for you enter. Summon your spirit ashes after entering the fight and go to town on the boss. Worked for me and made the fight much easier

There is a lvl 6 sss near the golden vow location.. on the path from the grace to vow there is a ladder on the Cliff (where the abductors roaming) on the left side behind the Graves on the chair is the stone. Started to use this one because usually I need to get there anyways.

Edit: It seems some people are having a hard time understanding what my original post said, so I'm going to do my best to simplify the directions. 1. Grab Somber Stone 1-4 in Liurnia (like in Nizar's video). 2. Talk to Rya, do her quest and get her necklace. This unlocks a shortcut to Volcano Manor. 3. Grab Dectus Medallions and go to Rya at the entrance of the Atlus Plateau. Go to Volcano Manor. 4. Travel through Volcano Manor towards the Godskin Noble (you do NOT have to fight him for this step). Grab Somber Stone 6 on top of the roof (to the right) and Somber Stone 5 on the ledge after the elevator ride. Unlock the shortcut, go to the Site of Grace. Grats, you now have a very easy, very fast +6 Somber Weapon. All without killing a single boss. Now, if you want access to a +9 Somber weapon early, do the following: 1. Kill Godskin Noble with your new +6 Somber Weapon (can be hard, but is very possible). 2. Go up the path to Rykard's Teleportation Area, but do not go through the portal. Go up the staircase behind you instead. 3. Use Stonesword Keys on gargoyle statue. Do parkour. Don't die. 4. Go out the back door, on to the ledge with the Virgin Abductor. Grab Somber Stone 7. 5. Go to Fort Faroth Site of Grace (where you got one half of the Dectus Medallion). Ride down past the dragons and kill the beetle holding Somber Stone 8. Go around the path and go to the dead guy in the chair for Somber Stone 9. Grats, you have a +9 Somber Weapon and you only had to kill one boss to do it. If there are any questions, please feel free to ask. I hope this clears any confusion up. Finally, if you do NOT want to kill the Godskin Noble for the Somber Stone 7, just play the game as normal, kill Morgott, etc.. Eventually you will find a Somber Stone 7. This is ONLY for those who want to +9 their weapon super early, as it only requires you to kill Godskin Noble and nothing else (check the comments for extra Somber Stone locations, some people have been very cool and posted multiple spots to find more). There's a Somber 5 in Caelid (Aenonian Swamp). Head to the north side and look for a pocket with a Graven Mass and it should be right there. 👍

It's funny because right by the divine tower of caelid there's an 8 and a 9 that you can grab right at the beginning, but no 7 until way later. Probably for the best though, a +9 Somber weapon with only the falling star beast killed would be so incredibly broken

@@cinnabunz1532 exactly. On my first play through I remember getting all the way to Farum Azula and only then finding Somber 7. Compared to the others the game feels like it intentionally gate keeps you from them (rightfully so). When you get to the Mountaintops Past the Freezing Lake Past the Garrison Over the "bridge" You'll have a SoG From here on the right hand side you'll find a bunch of Large Finger Creepers they all drop Somber 7 when killed if I remember correctly. (Similarly the smaller ones here and in Carian Manor drop Somber 2.)

Nizar, I have tried all of your builds, and they are all wonderful, thank you! In starting over so many times, I have discovered a slight optimization, that grants you even more early levels with no investment. It is difficult to explain in words, but very easy to do. When you first go to Caelid, prior to going to the tower, getting the soreseal, and killing the dragon, you can easily kill the Night's Cavalry on the bridge to the east. This is the knight that drops the Bloodhound Step AoW. When you go through the teleport to get to Caelid, rest at the site of grace, pass time until nightfall, and then head over to the bridge with the second site of grace. From there, go slightly north, then east, and follow the path. While on Torrent, bait the knight to the north, off the bridge, and to the west. There is a tree root on the side of the bridge. Climb the root, and the knight will try to follow you. Now jump from the root, onto the bridge. The knight will be stuck on the side of the bridge, and will start jumping and otherwise trying to attack you. In doing so, he will fall off the bridge, and reward you with a bunch of free runes. Again, this sounds really complicated, but it is not at all. It takes me less than a minute. I pick up both golden fowl feet that you show how to get in your various videos. I use one on him, and one on the dragon, and start the game with at least 40 levels! I'm hopeful that you can try this in your next video. 😁 Thank you again for all your entertaining, well designed builds!

Or you can just kill Greyoll over and over infinitely. When you see the tail twitch after your final swing, haul ass back to the SoG and the dragon will respawn. $50k per kill $65k using a gold pickled fowl foot. You must be on ur horse for the final hit. And don’t spam cuz if u get caught in extra swing animations and stay there too long the dragon won’t respawn.

Just completed killing the apostle , the fight was just insane if u try to dodge the apostles attack after a while the poison and rot will stop ticking at about 75 percent health . and just like the video said the fourth proke is extremely challenging and it really takes lot of tries to be successfull. ( p.s. if u don not have more sleep flowers like me cast your spirit ashes while hiding in corner and wait for them to gain the aggro then cast rotten breath two times when he is engaged for the rot to kick in )

I just did it mostly like that, but ran out of sleep pots but managed to distract him with the skelleton militia ashes. Also wanted to note, that after the Bossfight, when you try to get the armor, the Monk hits mega hard and you shouldn't fight him in close combat, however he still cannot enter the Boss room, so just run into it and use Reduvia and incantations to kill him easy. Just avoid his incantations.

Hey, little tip for people struggling with this ! After probably a 100 tries yesterday (ran out of sleep pots after 10 tries, tried with spirit ashes only), I actually checked the comment section. So you can indeed stand in the corner of the left pillar and wall, I used rotten breath only (4 times but only 2 of these did apply the rot), and finished with basic attacks from the dagger, applying bleed (had ran out of FP). So this was without spirit ashes or sleep pots, and without poison mist as well. Actually managed it first try when I did this trick ! Hope it may help out some of you 😉 Thank you Nizar for the top quality content ! New sub here, much appreciated in the discovery of this game.

Finally an honest comment. Definitely not beginner or noob friendly, this particular "get op early" gimmick is not easy to pull off at all. He may think it is because his ingrained skills make it seem easy and accessible to him and he has no way of judging objectively how a newer player may fare at the same task. I hid in that same corner btw and got the breath on him 7 times in a row, no scarlet fever. Maybe they raised his resistances or nerfed the skill itself. Stuff may have been nerfed or patched in response to such cheese videos.

That was hard haha..took me at least 40 attempts. Ran out of sleep pots and couldnt be bothered farming lilys so I ended up going for the headless teleporter spirit - I also gave up on rotbreath, it became too frustrating trying to make it proc. I just used mist a few times in the first phase dodging him for ages to save bleed procs, then used bleed for the second phase. Funny thing is when I finally killed godskin I didnt use spirit, sleep or rot. Just mist, bleed dodge. Once you develop a solid pattern and understanding of his slinky man cheats its easy enough to stay alive, long fight though. Thanks for the awesome content!!

Anyone seeing this in 2024, here's how I beat him: 1) Level mind to about 17, this lets your rotten breath go for long enough to proc 2) try and get at least 2, preferably 3 bleed procs BEFORE sleeping him. If you die, no pots wasted. 3) when he's asleep, cast poison mist first 4) after getting poison+rot procced, retreat behind the left pillar closest to the entrance. It's an old exploit of the ai but it still works. BUT be prepared to dodge and run if he walks right up to the pillar. The AI only loops if he stays about 10m away from it, he will strafe and retreat over and over. 5) you can re-apply Rot from behind the pillar by peeking around the corner. Make sure he's hugging the wall when you do, it will make his fireballs hit the pillar due to the shallow angle

I just did it after like 10 tries.. I run in and summon the Jellyfish to distract. The second he starts to throw Black Flame at the Jelly, put about 5 meters between you and him and hit him with the rot. This worked nearly 100% of the time without the need for sleep pots.

Hey everyone. Ok so apparently a lot of people are having trouble taking down the godskin apostle, whom I will from now on refer to as GA, lemme give y’all a little advice cause it really shouldn’t be that hard especially with the method that GG is giving us. First of all I’m hearing that people aren’t using the reduvia for this fight. Or maybe they’re trying it once and giving up to use another weapon. Idk. There is a very important reason the reduvia is the best weapon for this fight. You can proc bleed at a distance. That is one of the most vital factors in the method, because one: GA’s health bar is RIDICULOUS. Thousands upon thousands of HP, and the hemorrhage status affect is percentage based. Meaning the higher the health bar the better it works. That’s why it kills greyoll so fast. And two you need to KEEP your distance. Do not get close to this guy AT ALL. I killed him using just the reduvia without even using rot breath 🤷🏼‍♂️ I used a level 3 spirit summons though and the sleep pots. If you’re having trouble killing him with the reduvia maybe try leveling it up a few times. That’s what I did. Also maybe level up whatever spirit summons you use a couple of times at least. Good luck dudes 👍

Just another person chiming in to say that this works and it's pretty reliable. I tried a couple times without sleep pots and died trying to land the Rotten Breath (never used it before) then got it first try when I used the sleep pot set up, trading with black fireball. There's a bit of panic at the end when the DoTs stop ticking, but that's good time to pop a Gold Fowl Foot! GL to anyone thinking about trying it

i tried your method but im not very patient so i found another way by hiding behind the first pillar on the left, you must be all the way to the left up against the crook between the pillar and the rocks on the wall and you can not move unless the godskin iis moving backwards then peek out and cast your rot spell and move back to your spot, the key is you MUST not move, or do anything unless the godskin is moving backwards. you can repeat this process thru 3 rot cycles until he is dead. each cycle requires more casts of rot but dont forget do not move do not drink a potion do not breathe unless the godskin is moving backwards. hope this helps

Thank you for such an in depth guide, took me two tries on the boss! I love you GG! Boys. Walk in, through your bomb, poison mist, heal and flask, THEN rotten breath. Literally just keep running away from him and he will not stop throwing fireballs. Sword is so worth it, trust.

For those who ran out of sleeping pots, I found an alternative consistent method to proc scarlett rot and poison without it. Using the rot dog ashes you can proc it fairly easy if you also use rotten breath while the dog is distracting him. You’ll need the blue bar at full tho, so I recommend using the reduvia a little bit, proc bleed 2 times, use the ashes, then flask and then the breath.

I did it! For anyone struggling with it (which I really did), there seems to be some randomness regarding whether the scarlet rot takes hold, even if you press and unleash your entire mana bar. I eventually ran out of sleeping pots but after many attempts (50+) , I figured out a routine that got me there. 1) use the mist and get poison going 2) summon skeleton with remaining FP 3) drink 1 FP potion and take a good opportunity to rot him whilst he is busy with the skeleton - note that there is a 50/50 chance that this might not work but keep trying. start the animation as soon as he turns to target your skeleton. 4) drink another FP potion and bleed away 5) KEEP you skeleton ALIVE by targeting the boss with your bleeding attack as soon as the skeletons are down to draw his attention and allow the skeletons to revive. THIS IS CRUCIAL to making the fight easier. By keeping your summon alive, you will have a MUCH easier time staying alive yourself and unleashing your attack that will miss less. Nice additional ideas! I think the scarlet rot procs depending on your distance to the boss, when I did it too close it wouldn't proc but with the distance as shown in the video it pretty much always procced.

You can do it without sleep pots, I was wasting too many. Use the wolves summon to get his attention to hit him with the rot and poison, then proceed with the rest of the strategy in the video.

For those who want to do this and are struggling, do the 4 blood loss procs BEFORE using rot breath and the poison. That way, you’re gonna use your sleep pots more efficiently

Btw with this armor + Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman + Black Flame's Protection + Golden Vow you become almost immune to physical damage. Enemies just tickle you.

Holy shit, I did it. My strat was a bit different because it seems like the boss no longer gets scarlet rot from the rotten breath. Instead, I traveled to the Sellia Hideaway in Caelid (there’s a YT guide if you want; it helps a lot) to get the Crystalian Spirit Summons. They’re SUPER resistant to anything except strike damage. I leveled it to + 2, which isn’t hard in early game. Just make sure you have minimum 101 FP. Then all I did was use Reduvia weapon art and let me tanky summon soak up the damage. The only other thing I did was to use Icy Dragon Breath for frostbite proc whenever the boss did his big black flame AoE attack, but tbh you could probably beat him without that. Bleed damage did the majority of the work. I leveled the Reduvia to + 4 before the fight. Took a few attempts to learn his move set, but it didn’t take super long once I had a summons that could hold up.

Holy smokes! I had to post another comment seeing as how I just beat the Godskin Duo (bastards) on first attempt with this build. This was where I died over and over again on my first playthrough and never got any farther. Seriously, awesome build. With a mimic tear and rot breath combined, along with the Godslayer's Greatsword maxed to +10, it worked like a charm. Never even had to use the sleep pots! Thank you again for your guides! 🙂

Update: Finally got it. Had a bit of difficulty with the timing and distance; the Apostle kept getting too close when trying to cast the Poisonous Mist, and I kept dying from his melee strikes. Eventually got it though and am now a proud early game owner of the Godslayer's Greatsword

If anyone’s struggling with the godskin look up godslayer great sword cheese on KZbin and it’ll show you a safe spot. All you do is hide in a corner and spray rot when he’s backing up. Did it first try

Thanks for this guide. During my first playthrough I mostly used Blasphemous blade. Through my second time around, I've tried a number of other builds; mostly bleed. After watching this video I decided to give it a try. Works great. My mimic and I just beat the heck out of Melenia. Highly recommend this approach.
