@@WorldVagabond2024 That's also why he fished in the shallows, warms quicker, but those areas he went to were kinda "lazy" on his part. I fished in that general area enough to know that high gas prices had much to do with that.

Captain.. love the videos and your passion and commitment. I grew up fishing the Atlantic highlands area. That captain was definitely trying to save gas. That’s a shame. I notice you’re always at belmar and highlands. I’m assuming you live locally? I used to be red bank, I’m in Tom’s river now. Gonna hit up the boats for fluke in July most likely. Looks like fishing was tough that day, when is no current and no wind, fish are feeding less from my experience, usually is best to use the lightest jig you can get away with like half oz or 3/4 when fishing with no current and is not too deep, best of luck for next trip. How much it cost you to fish on that boat ?

Try Laura lee fleet or island current fleet sir for fluke, they are having success for the fluke or if the night time stripped bass and blue fish! I would stick with sea bass fishing for now.

Looks like seabass is the best to target from the boats for as long as the season is open. I'm going to try to take my kayak out to Tuckerton Friday and try to get some fluke. But if nothing's happening with them I'll be ready to switch it up and find something else. Probably get one last shot at seabass on the Golden Eagle next week. I have a few gift certificates so I'll be playing by ear, keeping up in the reports and looking out for your videos and a couple others I follow. Tell you one thing... I'm at the age now where after standing at the rail all day jigging I'm almost happy that I don't have to carry a bunch of fish home some days.

Unreal 90$ and dont even go out in bay insane that place is a tourist trap boat was good when. The father' ran the boat he would never have just stayed there. These boats will soon be a thing of the past with regs and captain s who dont even try anymore no fish move to another spot dont stay there all day shameful

What's the price of fishing on a charter? with fuel prices getting higher charter boats will stay closer to their home port or the price on the charter will increase. Cloudy water user chartreuse or brighter color lures. I call this frustrating fishing.
