The fact that ZSJ has never held a singles title in NJPW blows my mind to no end. He cuts a promo brilliantly, shows genuine hard work through learning Japanese, and is the best technical wrestler in the world.

He's a great example of someone who doesn't need a belt to be over. A threat whatever picture he's inserted into, and there's a legit chance the only singles title he'll hold in NJPW will be the heavyweight (although it's sadly unlikely for now)

@@stevonwhite8933 any other year, I'd agree if he hadn't just won the New Japan Cup. 50th anniversary year after some real derailments it's amazing that he got THAT. OKADA was always going to win this G1, Bullet Club/Jay was always going to be the B story this year. Those are the biggest consistent draws and history demands a heroic championship chase by the Japanese current-ace. Hopefully we continue try kick on with pushing newness through the autumn and then properly next year - Tama as a main eventer, Cobb, Jonah, Zach, Osprey, Naito's last (?) hurrah, Sanada breaking through, Taichi maybe not killing the vibe, Douki's first real title challenge/run... (?) We got a bunch to look forward to
