Already have an EE but just picked up a Pink Alu from NK clearance for $75 ❤🎉

I'm about to do the same! Have you built on it yet?

@@tylerolinde I'll be building it this weekend :) Will throw on GMK BoW for now, until ePBT Ramenstop ships :) What are you planning on putting in/on yours? Not sure on switches yet.

@wilferd Trying to figure out what switches is the hardest/most exciting part! Was thinking tecsee iced mints, azure dragons, aqua kings, or the pink nk silks that they just released.

@@tylerolinde The Aqua Kings sound great on my EE, but those Pink NK Silks look ❤🔥

I took advantage of the sale and picked up one for me and girlfriend! Trying out the Carbon Fiber board and PC in our builds. One will have Aqua Kings and one Akko Rose Reds. Rreally excited to build it. Dont forget to address the pcb o-ring issue for anyone else looking to get one.

Credit to you for having the hand strength to pick up the aluminum version with one hand.

That thing is no joke! I should've weighed it. What you didn't see from the cut footage is me using both hands to pick it up and position it in one hand haha

awesome video - i honestly was shocked at the sound quality difference. i think i prefer the more muted tone of the entry edition
@looksrarekeyboards29942 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Agreed, the Entry Edition sounds so nice for how "cheap" it is but does have a very muted tone. Vs the aluminum I think has a bit more character to its sound rather than just being muted.. I also think the aluminum sounds a lot better in person than coming through in this video for whatever reason.. probably because I'm still using a $12 mic...

1:01 I'm new to this hobby, so what difference does each of these materials actually mean for the keyboard? Also I wish you had kept the aluminum version stock so we could get a sound comparison of how both keyboards sound if we just buy them stock 😫
@looksrarekeyboards29942 жыл бұрын
You can hear the Entry Edition fully stock in one of my other videos (kzbin.info/www/bejne/ipOraqhoZpurmJo). These boards are fairly "stock" other than upgrading the stabilizers - you can hear the stock ones in that other video, they're pretty awful. The different between aluminum case and polycarb case will be durability as well as the sound profile which you can still hear here regardless of any upgrades made. The change from aluminum plate (on the NK87 alum version) to a polycarb plate was to just make them more apples to apples when comparing. Using an aluminum plate will make the typing experience "harder" on your bottom outs and will also change the sound to a bit more of a metal sort of melodic "clack" type noise.

I like the entry edition better just because the alloy version doesn't sound like $150 better. Law of diminishing return :(
@looksrarekeyboards29942 жыл бұрын
Ya I kind of agree with you there. The construction of the aluminum is definitely better but the entry edition sounds really nice given the price!

Hey man, Love the videos and keep up the good work! However i think you put the films wrong on the boba u4ts. It looks like the film is popping out on the top. Other than that cool video and solid sound tests!

They're on correctly, some just got a little off line and pushed/hanging over just due to laziness and moving fast when lubing/filming 90 switches haha

It’s on clearance rn 135 for aluminum 75 for entry (:

Great chance to get some good entry keyboards on the cheap!
