Nkala: M23 has upper hand in the conflict

Research fellow at the University of Johannesburg's Centre for Africa-China Studies Dr Sizo Nkala says rebel group M23 has an upper hand in the conflict raveging eastern DRC.
Thirteen South African soldiers died when their camp came under attack from the rebel group, allegedly with the support of Rwanda.
Nkala says prospects of a sit-down between the warring parties are almost nil.

The story he is telling is not even true. They are called banyamulenge not banyarwanda and the root cause is not the 1996 war, this goes waaaaay back. Please check your facts before sharing information. The DRC president was the one who skipped the EAC summit that was called by the Kenyan President Ruto. The Rwandan President was very much present and took the opportunity to clarify his thoughts on the SANDF's presence in DRC. Therefore, you can't force Rwanda on the negotiating table when it has always been there since day one. On the contrary, its Congo counterpart has categorically refused several attempts at the negotiations.
