This is such a beautiful Bible! I have the Thomas Nelson WM NKJV in black goatskin. I agree with you about the print of this one. It’s so nice to read! For anyone who loves this one and wants room for notes, it’s a fantastic WM Bible! Such great quality. I’m most likely going to get this one because I love my WM one so much!

Thanks for the thorough review. I’ve never purchased a “premium” bible before, just bonded leather in the past, but I decided I want to start using the NKJV and I also want a thinline because I’m tired of carrying around my thick study bible. I went ahead and ordered this one and am looking forward to using it as my primary reading bible for the next several years.

I FINALLY found the blue goatskin version on ebay and grabbed it up. Sooooooo nice! Totally agree with the verse by verse preference. But still, this is so nice. SO floppy.

Well I have to say this Bible is lovely but…I am on a very limited income and I have prayed about this…I find the red letters to be very bright and distracting. I have a much lower quality Thomas Nelson NKJV verse art Bible and the red letters in that are much deeper and mellower. So…gonna have to return it😢 Now this may not be an issue for some but it is for me. Other than that it is awesome. Just wanted to share my experience. God bless! ❤️✝️

My last trip through a bookstore made it clear the Thomas Nelson stuff is a bit better formatted than the NIV, even though it's very similar and owned/managed by the same conglomerate. I generally prefer single column but well formatted double column is fine.... it's so rare though. I really like my blue buffalo passaggio but it's a little inconsistent in spacing, print could be crisper, the single/double swapping isn't always vertically sequential (it tracks laterally occasionally when it shouldn't, for short or repetitive poetic verse insertions within standard books). Thomas Nelson also smells more like tobacco and less like woodsoap than Zondervan. Both good. I got a McClaren and Spurgeon NKJV adapted Psalms recently and now I want this. Thanks for the heads up!

@@ClaimingChristianity Did you find the cover a bit thin, and almost cheap feeling, in a way? It didn't feel like as nice a goatskin cover/liner, as the Large Print Maclaren, which is not as expensive.

Oh man! That’s a pretty huge question. What are you looking for in the Bible other than verse by verse. Font size? Thin? Study notes? And end of verse references are very rare, but I actually like on the best. Not everybody does but if I’m understanding your question correctly, and the verse is in reference to the references, sometimes the references or down the middle sometimes the references are at the bottom. Sometimes the references are at the bottom right corner… That’s just kind of a preference thing.

Sorry the font isn't what you wanted. Font size is so different for different folk and even different companies it's hard to judge til you see it in person.

Catholic means universal. The original catholic church was the universal church. When we say in the Apostles' Creed that we believe in the Holy Catholic Church, that is a reference to the original apostolic church. This is to be distinguished from today's "catholic" church. Over the centuries, pagan beliefs and traditions worked their way into the church as it became the ROMAN Catholic church of today. The church was formed, deformed, then reformed. Study church history. The Bible, as Claiming Christianity said, is God's word.
