All the steam guys that ran this engine from 1988 until the last run it made in the early 2000’s at ITM, would just be heart broken to know what has happen to 587. Sure hope it runs again someday for more to learn and enjoy.

587 is currently stored at the kentudky rail heritage center in Ravenna kentudky she is now owned by a private individual and will remain at th yard until the individual decides what to do with the wngine

Whatever happened to the coaches at ITM?? Didn’t I hear correctly they were all scrapped?? Or did a few atsf budds get saved

ITM coaches were either Scrapped, abandoned at the Forest Park site which were either sold at auction or scrapped, or Sold off by ITM. 4 of the budds were scrapped & the remainder have been sold off to various other tourist railroads & museums.

@@TNRailProductions_01 correct. ATSF Budds 3072, 3081 & 3092 was sold to GSMR. ATSF Budds 2400, 3082, 3083 & 3094 have been scrapped. ATSF Budd 3078 was sold to the Oklahoma Railroad Museum. CB&Q Combine/Lounge 801 "Silver Salon" was sold to East Tennessee Rail Services Inc & CB&Q RPO 1601 "Silver Mail" was sold to the American Passenger Train History Museum. All of the Budds (both of ATSF & CB&Q Heritage) were initially sold to Ben Butterfield in May of '21 who has been selling them off to various organizations, museums, etc. As of March '23, Ben still retains ownership of ATSF Budds 3093, 3095, 3096, 3097, 3098 & 3099. (unless they have been sold off sometime between May of '21 & now & somehow missed the posting about it.)
