Its not infinite anymore. You can only do the jump loop twice, and then it just puts the opponent into a 50/50 restand.

it already did. Its a semi-inifinte now with the restand. Even then you saw Sack Adam just hit the dive kick confirm to combo and the lightning to torch the bad gorilla for his poor life for consistent crispy damage. Even with that semi-infinite Grodd is still on even ground with some of the real heavy hitters in the game.
