I think your boy with the backwards limper raise might be on to something, especially if you have aggressive 3b behind you. That way he can encourage more limpers to create dead money while still being able to call and not discourage more limpers behind him.

@BluffaloSam just wondering how do the poker rooms make money down there if there's no rake?
@BluffaloSam
@BluffaloSam Жыл бұрын
@wizard3117 $20 door fee, they're all pubs really. So it's probably a good way for them to get like 30-100 people in there consistently drinking and buying food. The dealers all are unpaid as well.

Haha, nah to be fair, i think the fact that it was 5cards, and so you had to split it on two tables on the replayer, made it harder to read ;)

I’ve seen a lot of live players over play top pair any kicker on similar boards. I’m referring to the early qq fold post flop. Sometimes there value range is wider than it should be
@mjriemen
@mjriemen Жыл бұрын
Thats certainly true, but they also could rather easily have AA/KK and JJ… The amount of combos that beat us vs the amount of combos that overplay is pretty equal, if we are including offsuit hands. We beat much less if hes only doing it with suited hands. I think its a neutral spot in that case, folding is ok and calling sometimes would also be ok. In this instance, I think I would lean strongly to a fold. They look pretty strong.
@beauhewison4250
@beauhewison4250 Жыл бұрын
I rewatched the hand. Somehow I missed the Preflop action so I would definitely agree with this being a fold.

ok watched more of the stream. Those players probably aren't great but they probably don't have a Queen or a ten isn't a good reason to bet as they don't need either of those to bet as the calling range on a double paired board should be super wide.
@BluffaloSam
@BluffaloSam Жыл бұрын
Players aren't defending optimally. They definitely aren't calling without a Q or a T, and we got a 1/5th pot bet through 2 players with a solid read.

KQ would flat the 3B, AK would 4B, not too many Js he could have as even AJ off probably would fold to a 3B, the only hand that made sense on the flop is 3s or 5s, but even then what u say about the situation, I would’ve probably paid it off too if I were getting run over folding a lot. Also he did call 1/10 of his stack with 3s and got lucky so hard to sniff out the set.

There’s a reason ppl are running you over n playing at you like that kuz they see your blogs n how much you overfold to aggression out of position. I hope one day you start to play back at these ppl and take advantage of them making moves and attacking you.

He also started from $100 which translates into over a 10,000% return. Try not to think of things in purely nominal terms. Assuming he can keep his win rate the same as he starts moving up in stakes, it will compound into much larger $$$ wins and his hourly will "look" much better from a purely nominal dollar perspective (although it might be helpful to analyze your play via big blinds earned/hour to compare your play across different game sizes) - it's just a slow grind to build up the bankroll to a point where you are playing for large amounts. Very realistic channel and love the content.
