The JJ in the 2/5 you double up was amazing. It was the best play I've seen in a long time. Perfekt played in my opinion 😮

AWESOME Vlog. After two horrible sessions of 1-3 dropping my personal 10K challenge bankroll down to around 6K, I figured sure why not try 2-5. I think the jump in stakes made me concentrate much more and I ended up booking a $1600 win getting my bank roll back up to $8200. Thanks for all the content/inspiration and Keep grinding.

Bro I mean this with the utmost respect for your hand analysis and competence; 2/5 is barely, if at all, different from 1/2. From what I’ve seen, I feel like you give way to much credit to these players. Relax, treat it like 1/2;3 unless a competent player gives you a sign otherwise. Great vlog, 100k is around the corner :)

Great videos, you play well. Is randomizing at 1/3 really better than just value betting 100% of the time? Should the turned straight really be checked twice? I think betting it 100% of the time will net you more money in the long run.
@BluffaloSam Жыл бұрын
I only randomize against regs at 2/5 or higher. Checking strong hands makes a ton of money in live games, but betting is fine too

AA: Villain's turn bet is tiny. After he checks river, it's difficult to give him a strong range. He can maybe have some slow-played 8x and straights, but I think he mostly has overcards. I think a smaller bet might be better against that kind of range. Of course that depends on what hands villain open limps and then calls a 3! with.... JJ: WP. I think a flop check-raise is also an option to put him in a difficult spot with his TT - 88 (maybe 77). (I think he can squeeze with these and then almost has to call the smaller 4! with everything.) He may also hero with some broadway combos. AKo: WP. I prefer to bet flop while I still have a significant nut advantage and then check turn, but either is probably fine. It would have been a mistake to bluff the river, imo. Villains have really condensed their ranges, especially after checking twice on flop and turn. 54dd: I think you butchered this hand. I think the flop raise is ok, but I prefer to call and then check-raise turn. I think it is MUCH more likely that he checks turn when you x-raise the flop, but if you x-c, you are more likely to have the opportunity to x-r the turn, and you would be raising a card that is supposed to be good for your BB range and might actually make him suspicious. On the river I think your target range for the x-raise is way too narrow. I'd just probe smaller on the river, hoping to get some calls from overpairs, Qx, JJ - 99, maybe a less likely 8x. 98ss: Good fold. I think the turn is an underbluffed spot, so you are probably drawing, and possibly to a losing hand. Also, villain has only 125 remaining, so your implied odds are sh!t. AA ("generally considered a good hand" 😂): WP. I do think that you targeted too narrow a range again, but meh. 55: I think the turn jam was a mistake here. If villain's range is JJ/33/22/A4s, you beat 6 combos and lose to 7. If he also has A4o, you are even further behind. KQo: Why not check with the intention of calling most reasonable bets? I think the bet was maybe too thin. JTo: Why are you trapping and then calling on the turn with a tiny pot and an SPR near 30? Nice win and WP!
@BluffaloSam Жыл бұрын
AA: I'm still getting reads, so a lot of my bet sizes are still what I would size my entire range including bluffs until I get some more solid notes. JJ: Ooo flop check raise is nasty, I like it. Also, I'm noticing the more I play in these games, their 3bet ranges are still just pure value, just slightly wider than normal, I don't think many players are squeezing 99 here. AKo: That was a tough hand, I think flop bet is ok, but getting check raised OTF is such a disaster... 54dd: Can we really call a half pot bet OOP? 55: He didn't have too much behind, the raise is essentially an all in, I think it's pretty much the same result as I'm calling almost all rivers, and I don't think he's bluffing this spot. KQo: I just don't see him ever betting a worse hand when checked to, 95% of his range here has SDV and is going to just check back, I want to target that range. We just happened to run into it this time. JTo: I don't think anyone has much, stacks aren't going in this hand, and I really like having very strong check ranges, my weaker Jx here I think is better in my check backs, and my stronger Jx can take the more aggressive lines.
@MaydayAggro Жыл бұрын
On the AKo, I think getting raised is uncomfortable but not a disaster. You're only behind a set, and villain should rarely be raising you on a board like this because you have all the nuts. You definitely don't want to see this board get more coordinated. With 54dd, I think a call is fine, and I think raise rarely gets a fold from the pfr. I think the jam with 55 is bad because you are usually behind when called. The amount behind doesn't matter when that is the case. On KQo, if you check, villain can think that Kx is good. He can bluff any spade or any J. If he has KT/QT/K8, he can get here and think he's good. The point is that I think KQ is better as a bluffcatcher than a value beater with this possible flush, possible straight runout. It's probably close though.
@BluffaloSam Жыл бұрын
@MaydayAggro @MaydayAggro I'm behind ATs A9s and T9s all possible, those sets are also quite likely given preflop action For the 55, I think it's pretty moot point OTT, money is going in on this street or the next, I can't imagine many rivers I'm folding, or that will change his action with any part of his range. KQo, all those hands you listed except Jx will call a bet, but I think he calls even wider than that here. I just don't see him betting worse when checked to except on the off chance he has a hand like KT
