We started reading these bibles at my church two weeks ago and it’s the 1st time I’ve read the Bible consistently every day thus far. I’m really enjoying it! I’m looking forward to reading the Bible through for the first time this year. Praise god 💨🕊️

Wow, this is super cool. It's designed like a book series. A lot of people are big on fictional book series and getting caught up in a popular series. This is like that, but it's the Bible! I love this.

This looks really good. I love reader bibles and have been trying to encourage others who struggle with reading their bibles to try a readers bible. I think it makes reading easier when we can read the text as a single literary piece, without all the distractions from chapter and verse markings, foot notes, cross references, commentary, etc. I think in our attempt to make the bible more understandable we ended up making it more technical and harder to read.

In 2021, our Church had Immerse small groups and we read thru the entire set. It was a really good experience. I enjoyed reading the Bible in a more a readers format. While I may not read the Bible that way again, it was worth trying out. Thanks for the review.

I never knew what the reader bibles were but I recently looked into them and omg is like reading a novel and I think the immerse captures my attention the most and I struggle staying consistent with reading and studying the Bible and I don’t know why but I believe these will help and I’m going to purchase them. I feel like these will keep me engage like everyday !

I really like this idea! I like the breakdown in separate books. I really hope this helps the community get back to reading their Bible’s, and this would be a great way, especially for new Christian’s. Great review, and I think I will pick up the set! ✝️. 💖

Looks fantastic. Thanks for showing us this Tim. I love the way they’ve put the New Testament together. Maybe this will catch on. You’re so right to say that in the English speaking world we’re spoiled for choice. I think I’ll pick the Messiah book up for starters.

Hello! I was wondering if this was a good set to get as my first "Bible" ? I'm an adult but trying to find a way to read that's easy to read as a neo divergent person. Do you recommend this?

Okay! Okay! Okay! Why am I just finding out about reading Bibles! These books look amazing! I am very much intrigued & ready to dive head first into researching different reading bibles! Thank you for this video, it was really awesome to see the features of this particular set! I have always been a Bible reader, and switching translations often takes a bit of coaxing. But trying to sit with my son to discuss scriptures is sometimes like pulling teeth because I know it seems stiff & formal to him. This may be something I will purchase for him, seeing as this layout may be a bit more relaxed for him.

When I went through the Bible for the first time in decades (and eventually completed said readthrough), I was bouncing around the text following a reading plan that I had found online and adapted (for less bouncing around). Going through the New Testament, I went through it not from beginning to end, but in sections starting with a gospel, and following up w/ other books and letters before taking on the next section -- very similar to what was shown in the TofC in that "Messiah" volume (I even started w/ Luke and Acts). Looks like a good idea, especially for new readers!

I bought the Immerse a while ago (it was hard to find at the time), and while I haven't had the time to go through it yet, I did enjoy what I've seen so far. As you mentioned, the covers are very pretty, the feel of the paper is nice, and most of all, its very readable. My only gripe with most reader's bibles is that they keep the chapter/verse range, but I like how they decided to keep everything in the header, including pagination and book name, so at least its not distracting. I also like the Bible for Institute Reading's goal, for everyone to read their bible and to read it together, its a very noble effort and I feel like this is the way to go. And an interesting thing, I feel like everyone wants to read a bible, but it just looks and feels so daunting. So I thought it was interesting when my little sister saw a single-column bible at church and asked for it (the pastor said yes) because it looked like a book, and she loves to read. So there is a want, I think bibles just have to look more inviting. And BTW, there are quite a few multi-volume reader's bibles out now, have you looked at them yet, or are planning to?

I was just looking at all of the books that I've read so far this year, realizing that if that had been Bible reading, I could have read through the entire Bible multiple times so far this year. And yet, I haven't read through the entire Bible from cover to cover... Maybe... Ever? I think this set will be a good way to slip my brain into its "normal" reading mode, due to the breakout of multiple books, and much larger, more contemporary type of font. I can't wait to get a set of these!

Does the large print have the same pagination as the regular? Have you ever seen the Books of the Bible set from Zondervan? I think it’s only four volumes not six, but I think it’s kind of similar. Would be great to see a comparison? I wonder what it’d be like if they did a more Jewish version, they’ve broken this down as I can using Christian categories. I wonder what it’d be like if they broke it up along Tanakh ordering.
@timwildsmith2 жыл бұрын
Yep, same pagination. I have not seen the NIV set yet.
@nottechytutorials2 жыл бұрын
@@timwildsmith The NIV has a few reader's bibles, like what @Joshua Vardy Music said, there's the Books of the Bible (it has 4 volumes now), and also Sola Scriptura (also 4 volumes). It would be neat to see you take a look at other reader's bibles like that.

While I agree that this is a really nice looking set and probably very enjoyable to read, I honestly can't say that this will get many more people reading their bibles who aren't already. I can see people who currently read the NLT picking this up, but I personally don't think the people I know who struggle to read the Bible would use this more, especially being split into so many volumes. Something like the filament Bible or Life Application Study Bible might be a better starting point. Again, it does looks very nice.

It got me interested in actually reading through the Bible, I ended up using the Immerse podcast to listen through the whole Bible for the first time, took about 4 months on and off. It made the letters of the new testament read like actual letters, and the re-arrangements of books makes the overall story more understandable. I would disagree with some of the translation but it's not intended to be a study Bible, and it gets the general story across.
@kenoshaw70698 ай бұрын
Read the last two verses in the Bible. Adding to and Taking away of the original scriptures. NLT has changed defining words that make the interpretation incorrect. Keep watering down the truth of God word. Revelation says in the last days that false teachers and false doctrine will appear just before Jesus Christ return.
