HEATED CLASH BETWEEN TSITHRONGSE & DIEZEPHE VILLAGE OVER LONG PENDING DISPUTED LAND

Tensions flared between Tsithrongse and Diezephe villages on 10 February morning in a clash over disputed land. The incident, which occurred around 9:50-10:00 am, involved stone pelting and gunfire from both sides, resulting in minor injuries. Accusations flew as Diezephe villagers claimed Tsithrongse encroached on their land and damaged their cemeteries, while Tsithrongse maintained their legal ownership. Authorities swiftly intervened, bringing the situation under control through dialogue. The involved parties will meet at the DC office on Monday in Chumoukedima to seek a permanent resolution.

Just looking at which party tickets they are taking and what they support we understand the plan without having to explain in local newspapers. Lotha and sumi shares a big border at doyang and they meet there like long lost brothers and always happy woth sharing tea, biscuits or anything we have and they would do the same. Some of the bordering sumi villagers claims to be Lotha and they feel so bad when we tell them they are not 😂.

The question is wether they have 1000years ownership or not... in naga cultures every vilage has like 3 to 4 km of lands under them.. its not just the village... The village that are build some dacades ago should first present the papers with eveidence of Ancestoral ownership. These days, some tribes just move to some remote forest and build village there, which is illegal both in Custom law and Constitution.. Ask them that, how manu areas of land they own ancestorally beyond the village? If its just a bought land or move in land, they completely illegal to set up. Some tribes these days just move in an unknown territory and set up village saying is forest.. no... All the forest in Nagaland are own by Nagas villages some radius each, thats the law throughout generations and the system of Land ownership. So... peopel cannot simple move in to make village if its not their ancestoral land, they either buy or get in with the consent of Whose ancestor tribe land it is...

Building cemetery, sheds or any infrastructures in someone's land or say disputed area without the consent of the other party is an open welcome to violence and a complete act of barbarism. The founder Tsithrongse a.k.a Goan bura of Tsithrongse Village who is alive and testifying himself regarding his efforts to make settlement with the council of Diezephe, Sir. Isaac and Sir. Muivah , high court, supreme court sounds legit to me and only a righteous man who is not afraid of false testimonies and looking for Justice will do such act. Chakhesang and Sangtams are but one. Cha- Chokri, Ke- Khezha, Sang- Sangtam. As much as this is not a tribal conflict but a land dispute between the 2 villages, i wish this dispute is settled amicably between the two parties initiated by the administration under the able leadership of our honourable CM Sir. Neiphiu Rio so that peace will prevail in our society.
