Definitely. It's not that I'm opposed to Darkside as a music video, but I think this album was a perfect time for a music video writer to sit down with them and help them realize that we've all grown up with blink-182. I'd say a good majority of Blink fans could listen to "On Some Emo Shit" and perfectly relate to those lyrics. A darker, more mature music video to match with that song would've been perfect. blink-182 is such an iconic name for so many people yet they're still managing to muck it up when all they need to do is reinforce their new content instead of focusing on features, side projects, and/or interviews.

Kait I remember seeing Alkaline Trio in 1998 at a park by my house here in the Chicago area where they are also from. Maybe 40/50 people there and I knew then how talented they were. I hope Matt is happy playing in Blink182, of course I loved that band back in the day. I think Alkaline Trio was where he was at his best and hope they still get out and play/write still.

Nine is amazing. It's such a shame they never did a tour for it, and in light of the current events, they really couldn't do a belated tour now if they wanted to. Either way, I'm super excited to see what they make next. Also, I get that they do it because they know it'll get headlines, but I wish interviewers would stop asking about Tom. They've said all that needs to be said. Tom's moved on, and so has blink. Tom's heart hasn't been in the band since before the breakup. Just let the man follow his actual passions, and let the guys in blink that actually want to be there keep making awesome music.

@@cDub3284 This. And also the tempo issue that I mentioned in my previous comment. The easiest example is on Dick Lips: the drum roll just before the first verse comes in isn't even in tempo with the song, it's way too fast. This was a recurring theme throughout Cheshire Cat & Dude Ranch.

Nine is not the most mature album in my opinion. I personally think neighborhoods had a more grown up sound

What the fuck kinda questions are these? Marks giving the company line but in his head he’s saying “I’m writing music I think my fans are gonna appreciate, fuck your ‘world is so gloomy’ bullshit.” Mark, keep blink 182 apolitical. I’ve much appreciated that about your writing and your public persona.

Its hurting that they are geting old (with they I mean Mark, Travis and Tom) I almost cries when I'm thinking about it, when I hear blink-182 I'm thinking of some hot and funny guys singing and playing some kick ass songs like apple shampoo and dammit 🤤 But now they are trying to be the same even if they are old and having kids 😣 Idk for me its a big turn off and can we just talk about how fucking fast the time is going?? I miss the time when there was no phones and blink-182 was the hottest band and ppl was actually doing things instead of just sittning insade and check their phones 🙃

Hard to find but back then for a vans warped tour interview, tom praised Matt skiba, said alkaline trio inspired him to up his songwriting. There s a video on KZbin. I'm 31 and we have to stop acting like this is the same style as enema. Alkaline trio and blink are total opposite surging about Skiba is pointless but thanks skiba!!! Blink is blink regardless
