Long ass comment incoming lol Imma be honest, Nmixx is slowly shifting the dynamics in my whole kpop journey with their releases this years. I thought in january that no (kpop) album/mini-album would be able to top Fe:304 Break for me (Armageddon and [VirtuouS] came real close I'm not gon lie), and I was right, Fe:304 Break was still my favorite comeback of 2024, until Stick Out dropped. Little background, I've always been a big hip-hop (french and US mostly) and metal fan, since I was a kid almost, but I'm also really into jazz, disco, hard rock, pop, rnb, blues, classical and baroque music, techno, trance, house, drum'n bass, EDM, salsa, country, reggae, folk rock, actually almost all kinds of genres out there except for reggaeton and any "commercial heavy" pop, which I don't hate, I'm just not interested in it. Kpop got there quite late along the way, but the creativy, concepts, and averall production quality of it all got me hooked for the last 3 and a half years. Anyway, all I really wanted to say is, Nmixx are NOT my ult kpop group (hi Deukae), but they might be the discovery I'm the most proud of and excited about, their production team is freaking insane, love the recurrent Dem Jointz collabs, and the girls, how can I put it, they seem to enjoy the creative freedom they're left with so so much, and it shows... They are the first kpop group I've followed and supported through their debut and even before that. I've always thought "O.O" was sick eventhough it divided the crowds and opinions about the debut and the whole mixpop concept weeeere, well, "mixed" to say the least (no pun intended). Now the girls have their own identity, their vocal/concept versatility is absolutely flabbergasting, they proved every last sceptical person that they fully mastered the mixpop genre, and that's not an easy one, and eventhough their title tracks are fire, most of their b-side are even better in my opinion. So hats off to them and to their team for all the hard work they've accomplished, I'm genuinely excited for what is coming next, and I'll put it out there, BOOM BOOM and BEAT BEAT are for me the best kpop songs to have dropped this year, and it's not even close. To all who are still reading at this point, thanks for your attention lol, take good care of yourself, Adrey, keep up the good work mate, I have to admit I really enjoy watching you going nuts over all of these amazing songs that none of my IRL friends listen to haha.
