Rolex is most definitely not entry level...I mean the guys don't even know how to properly set up the watch? Fair that not everyone is well versed into watches as much as us enthusiast but if you own the watch, know how to properly use it or how it works at least. Casio and Timex are entry level, maybe a Seiko or a Hamilton for a solid entry mechanical watch. Rolex and Omega are not first time watches, and this shows exactly why. I'd argue a Datejust is more entry level as you don't have to deal with the GMT function. Even a Tudor BB36 would be an excellent watch to start a collection and learn and get into how the watches work.

Taking care of say a watch or a car means you understand you don't own it because it's not gonna be yours forever. Entry is Casio, then a 500$ Seiko, then maybe vintage swiss, then new swiss, but perhaps sub 5k range. After those stage I think a person would learn to look after a watch and also appreciate new and old technology,

Great video. Fantastic to see Nico with a different angle, more him less than trolling. Also, at 23:29, you posted a picture of the 5970 and not the 5270, you may want to edit that.

The guy saying a rolex pepsi "entry level" to me is disrespectful. What might he say next? Omega , Longines , Hamilton , etc is microbrand??

@@Strikeitbig if you’re worried about it stopping and wrong when you put it back on get a watch winder. Also it has 72 hours of power reserve, wear it everyday or every 2 days and it will keep somewhat good time. Watch a tutorial video.

12:30 being born and raised in Leiden (Holland), I know the ¨Van der Horst¨ (Nico´s last name) business very well because it is a small city. His grandfather (Nico 1) was a a renowned photographer in the city and ended up founding 3 successful photography specialty stores in the city. His father ( Nico 2) might have been a hippie (I have no clue) but he did successfully manage the store that his father (Nico 1) left/sold him in 1986 until retiring in 2018 at 66 years of age. The digital era had rendered physical stores like these obsolete so fair play. I doubt a hippie could manage a business for 32 years, but that is between Nico 2 and Nico 3 :) No idea what happened to the other 2 stores to be honest but 2018 was the end of 77 years of ¨Nico Van Der Horst¨ (number 1) photography specialty stores. And oh!.......Sorry Nico, you bloody legend....but I was actually at the Store Closing reception and briefly talked to you. Keep going with the YT boxing thing because to be fair....you were just as ¨curvy¨ in 2018 as you are today 🤣

I had an Uncle who "posed" as a Hippie to manage a club back in the 1960's/70's and he wasn't one, just had long hair and dressed the part to not seem like "the establishment"!!
@doggies.will.be.doggies2 жыл бұрын
@@TheSpritz0 The fun part actually is that if you look up photos from Nico 2 (¨the Hippie¨), he looks like a regular down to earth typical Dutch business man; he never made any fuss, was always well dressed and attended to his customers (including me!) like a pro....I guess that little sting from Nico 3 has some personal/family issues behind it which we do not need to know a about :)
