Back yard is looking fab Mal. Holy sheep shit Mal that’s insane for a plant. Pond sounds lovely 😊 and a waterfall you say 😂. I was looking at pictures from today but 2023 and wow I am so far behind this year too. Is there compensation for sock injuries 😂 but really sorry to hear, back issues are the worst. Pergola looks like it will work a treat, grapevine may be too heavy for there unless you use more planks. 14:51 woooowww peppers and aubergine are doing amazing my peppers are crap. Hi Ali we have had lovely Weather here this week but over night it bucketed it down which was great for the plot and it’s set to stay fairly good for the next week or so …….. Happy days! I hope things are a tad cooler for you over there and you weren’t too close to the terrible bush fires over there. Your garden and allotment look wonderful Mal. Tomatoes and melons looking so good. My tomatoes are a total failure this year. However, had a bumper crop of peas so can't complain too much. Happy gardening!

Hi, I think the long tomatoes are Manzano an acid free variety. I don't think the melons are fertilized either. Use a wee brush to help them perhaps. Your garden has made great progress after the terrible spring the UK had. Good gardening.

Labeling is one of my weak points🤣🤣Manzano?? Don’t remember that one🤣 The melons seem to get little yellow fruits after the flower but it would then drop off? Yes we seem to be getting some decent weather at last here in the UK 🇬🇧 let’s hope it’s not too late 🤞🤔 Thanks for tuning in again & have a lovely week 🙏😊👍

Loving the garden Mal. A pond with a water fall sounds good. Those long tomatoes could be Monza. Loving the idea of keeping the log burner, wouldnt be without mine mate, i feel the cold terribly these days, especially in the old joints. Like yourself i struggle to put my socks on even sitting on the bed. Good idea aboiut the 6 x 6 greenhouse, i have 2 melon plants out in a bed and poretty much the same as yours, get the flower and within a week or so they drop off with no fruit. I have had some lovely cucumbers ( in the poly tunnel ) only have 2 cucs left on the plant BUT i have sown 4 more seeds (Friday 26 july 2024 ) and they are germinating, i have gave 2 to the lad next door, and the 2 i have kept will be staying in the greenhouse. will probs make a video today or tomorrow. Have a good week mate and watch that back.

Thanks mate I’ve given up on the melons they’re in the compost bay as we speak 🤣 I’m going to give it a go next year but put them in the ground in the greenhouse. Hope yours have improved some😊👍🙏

Hi just a little idea i did with a couple of my tree ferns was to buy some tall metal planters and pop them in and i immediately got a taller tree fern. And on a plus side if you want to move them later in the season for any reason i found it’s easier. If i understood correctly about the cold frame between the greenhouses, could you try the melon you might throw out in it? Just thought nothing much lost till you’re ready to do the new greenhouse. The back garden is lovely.

The Tree Fern idea is great then I can understand plant the pot so you can’t see it😊👍 The Melons after closer inspection are without fruit so going to do the small greenhouse for next season and try again then. Thanks for tuning in Anita much appreciated. Have a lovely week 🙏😊👍

Rather than using the compost on the beds that you have sown your lettuce in. I would move into GH when lettuce finish and sow carrots in it. As always your plot is looking great. Mental price nearly £1000 for 1 plant though 🤦🏻‍♂️.

@@thevegplotman7957 When the lettuce has finished if you move the planter to one of your greenhouses so it has some protection and sow some carrots you will get a bonus crop.
