I find solace in listening and watching you. I love that you speak in slow steadying manner. It's comforting , as if we are enjoying a cuppa together with our knitting. I feel privileged to be taken through your garden and cottage. I'm not too many years younger than you and find myself in agreement with your views . Thank you Colette.

It is great remembering what we loved as teenagers - I am 67 years young, so near to yourself in age, and I was in love with David Essex! I lived in a very conservative household, my Father was very strict on rules, and I love the way that David made me see a gypsy type person, who was free. I respected my parents, but wished I had been home schooled, as I loved nature, and hated having to go to school. I am dyslexic, which they did not understand in those days, and my Mother always said I was different. It is so sad that the child I was, did not have the understanding that is around now. But I am making up for that now, in living the reclusive life I love, with my rescue greyhound Madge. xxx

How lovely coming home from your son's house to such a serene, heavenly place on our Mother's Earth. Working outside is grounding us, giving our lives a healthy balance, so much needed in todays time. I also love to knit; in progress is a pair of children's socks, which I plan to give to charity. I am also working on a miter blanket to use up my stash of sock yarn. I feel blessed to have found your videos. Looking at them and hearing your wisdom gives my life meaning.

When I was in my early 20's (in the 1990's) I moved to London. I found a wonderful knitting sup and bought hand dyed, hand spun wool, very thick. When I got back to my flat, I just wrapped the skein around my neck and decided it was good enough. It made for a very warm winter muffler. I love your ingenuity, Collette.

When I look at the way humankind has evolved, humans have become arrogant and believe that they can control everything, when ultimately they have no real power, not even those IN power. For me, this year has been an eye-opener regarding my garden, because of all the rain we’ve had, it has become wild (well, almost wild). I decided to take a leap of faith and let everything fight for themselves. The roses are gorgeous because of all the rain, and the shrubs I planted recently are doing well. The rest is a little unruly, with the different types of grass and wild flowers, in particular with newcomer bindweed trying to lord over everyone else, but I’ll sort things out in autumn. Meanwhile I cut meandering paths through the « lawn » and enjoy visiting the garden every morning when it’s not raining. I keep the front yard reasonably tidy for the neighbours and for my peace of mind.

ItchyCoo Park was one of Steves hit songs.Steve Marriott also made his debut as an actor at an early age.I had his poster on my bedroom wall , my brothers teased my sister and I for our crush on the Small faces, and most of the early 60's bands. Interesting that you mentioned full moon. I live in the western part of the states. The past three days we have had a full moon. Most people in the states knew about what led up to this recent situation and the one last week. Are we surprised...not really. This is not about us but the entire globe. A day does not go by when I encounter someone wanting to live a similar life like yours. Many are tired and want a simple life. Many people to include me could careless who is the team captain. We have all been lied to by both team captains. I moved to the country for peace and quietness. Where I live our community rows up the carpet at 8pm and weekends it is 6pm. Hearing a pin drop is an understatement. I am 20 miles from the freeway and I can hear vehicles and can determine what is what. This life is not for everyone. I let things in only if I want. I prefer hearing wildlife and watching nature grow around me. I am content.

Oh my gosh, itchycoo park is one of my all time favorite songs in high school. That memory was a blast from the past. I have a lot of the same ground covers in my garden also. They absolutely keep the weeds down. Love seeing your garden and the stream that you made is amazing. What a beautiful sound and a water source for all the birds and other wildlife.

Beautifully calm in your garden. Sundays are special here too, catching up on Midsummer Murders! I used to knit scarves, thanks for the reminder to get busy.

Love ajuga and have much of it around my yard, have encouraged it to take over. Enjoy all the bumblebees on the May/June flower spikes.

I have a townhouse in a housing association with a very small yard. I am trimming that trees next to the sidewalk to form an arch ! I have 2 sidewalk arches. I love them. I don’t know how the neighbors feel But i hope they enjoy walking under them. And my garden is on my deck.

I have buddleia where I can see it from the back windows, and only recently planted ajuga between hazels and birches. I'm really looking forward to it spreading! Alchemilla mollis is next on the list. The birdbath is so beautiful there 🌿🐦🌿
