It is great remembering what we loved as teenagers - I am 67 years young, so near to yourself in age, and I was in love with David Essex! I lived in a very conservative household, my Father was very strict on rules, and I love the way that David made me see a gypsy type person, who was free. I respected my parents, but wished I had been home schooled, as I loved nature, and hated having to go to school. I am dyslexic, which they did not understand in those days, and my Mother always said I was different. It is so sad that the child I was, did not have the understanding that is around now. But I am making up for that now, in living the reclusive life I love, with my rescue greyhound Madge. xxx

When I look at the way humankind has evolved, humans have become arrogant and believe that they can control everything, when ultimately they have no real power, not even those IN power. For me, this year has been an eye-opener regarding my garden, because of all the rain we’ve had, it has become wild (well, almost wild). I decided to take a leap of faith and let everything fight for themselves. The roses are gorgeous because of all the rain, and the shrubs I planted recently are doing well. The rest is a little unruly, with the different types of grass and wild flowers, in particular with newcomer bindweed trying to lord over everyone else, but I’ll sort things out in autumn. Meanwhile I cut meandering paths through the « lawn » and enjoy visiting the garden every morning when it’s not raining. I keep the front yard reasonably tidy for the neighbours and for my peace of mind.

Interesting that you mentioned full moon. I live in the western part of the states. The past three days we have had a full moon. Most people in the states knew about what led up to this recent situation and the one last week. Are we surprised...not really. This is not about us but the entire globe. A day does not go by when I encounter someone wanting to live a similar life like yours. Many are tired and want a simple life. Many people to include me could careless who is the team captain. We have all been lied to by both team captains. I moved to the country for peace and quietness. Where I live our community rows up the carpet at 8pm and weekends it is 6pm. Hearing a pin drop is an understatement. I am 20 miles from the freeway and I can hear vehicles and can determine what is what. This life is not for everyone. I let things in only if I want. I prefer hearing wildlife and watching nature grow around me. I am content.
