I'm a big Hawkeyes fan, and I was tailgating at the game today... I was Beyond impressed with how wonderful I was treated by the cyclones fans. Thank you for your hospitality. Even brought my Boston Terrier puppy named Herkey. I've never been to an Iowa/ Iowa State game before, but I've always heard the worst. That's Bullshit. Everyone was fantastic, and I'm glad I got to see that. #ForTheLoveOfIowa

I grew up in Miami, Florida in the 80's and 90's , a Hurricanes fan since I was born. I travelled to Tallahassee for a couple of rivalry games against FSU and just about got chased out of Doak Campbell Stadium by thuggish fans there just for wearing a Canes jersey. But I moved to Iowa City 22 years ago in 1997. Jeremy's right- the fans in the Midwest/Big Ten are always friendly and first class. I've been to 31 Iowa games, away and home, and NEVER been harassed or picked on 'cause of my Hawkeye jacket and hat.

I'm a Hawkeye fan but a aside from this inner state matchup I always want the Cyclones to win. They are Iowans and are my neighbors and friends. Love the effort both teams gave. It's a shame that there had to be a loser. I feel for the Cyclones fans. I will tell you one thing the Cyclones will win many games this year ; they are a talented team.

As an Iowan, this is pretty much the super bowl for us since we literally don’t have any pro sports teams. And hey, ISU played really well, it was a great game to watch for six hours, although maybe State would have won if they didn’t run into their own teammates. Go Hawks!

I am an impartial viewer, I am neither a Hawkeyes Fan nor a Cyclones Fan, but that was a solid game and a pleasure to watch. However, when any of those teams were to play Nebraska, most Texas teams, especially TCU, or Oklahoma, I instantly root for anything IOWA. Have a great season to both teams.

Iowa had 4 defensive backs out. Playing so soft on receivers was so frustrating as well as pissing me off. Having said that, Iowa did what they needed to do to win; take advantage of turnovers and control the ball. Third down conversation was over 60%. Up yours ISU.

On their previous possession, ISU got the ball about the 20, they had over three minutes and three timeouts, and couldn't get within field goal range. If they hadn't messed up the final punt, they would have started from about the 20, with a minute and a half, and no timeouts. Maybe they would have gotten there, maybe not. We'll never know, will we.

As a Hawkeye fan I was a little disappointed by the lack of respect by some of the Hawk fans towards our Veterans. I'm glad we won but my heart goes out to the young Cyclone player that ran into his own player at the end. If it's any consolation I think Iowa's defense would have won the game anyway. Not the way I like to win but I'll take it.

I'm a veteran, a hawkeyes fan, and was tailgating at the game with my puppy. I felt pretty damn welcomed by all. Everyone was great. I didn't see any disrespect towards anyone at all. Not once, and especially not towards Veterans.
