Actually what you need is the courage to speak. You the language; but out of fear you don't open your mouth. Please try to talk in small sentences first with people close to you. The when you go to a show room or a mall or a big shop try to speak in English. To start with you can mix Tamil and English. However much I tell you, it is going to be you who has to talk the first step. Please be bold and start to speak. You will be able to speak English to some extent in the first 6 months. From then onward the progress will be quick. Best wishes.

Please speak with small sentences. Use English words and expressions where ever possible. Don;t be afraid of committing mistakes. We all learnt by committing mistakes. You will learn soon if you can overcome feeling shy to speak.
