Seems a really simple method for a beginner like me too. Love the bubbled rust effect.👍

You have done an excellent job on this. I like the way you done it, slightly different to what I do. I normally let the first lot of colors dry, but this way it came up great on your model. I'm going to try this with my 3 new S wagons I got the other day. This goes to show one doesn't really need an air brush too, to do weathering. Thank you for sharing.

Andy - I will be giving this method a go I have got pastels and with 3 ladies in the household no shortage of applicators. For the chassis I might paint a dirty black/ brown then powders over the top. Cheers Kev

Brilliant video, similar to how I weather rolling stock. People have to remember that not everything rusts the same, anything near the sea or coastline will rust more than in the middle of England. here in Wales it seems to rain more so possibly more rusty.

To the person that's made this video, as far as I'm concerned, that is brilliant !!!!!!. You mentioned someone saying they could do better, THESE PEOPLE ARE CALLED RIVIT COUNTERS !. And if they are THAT fussey, they need to get a life. What I have watched you do to that wagon was great, I'm subscribing to your channel. FANTASTIC FINISH, tell the right COUNTERS to f@#£ off.

Great video Andy. Thanks for sharing. I’ve never liked aerosols or spray paints. I only use them outside when there is no wind. Never inside the house. Your technique is much more user friendly and the results look great, especially the crumbling texture of the pastel powder in the paint. That’s what rust does, it breaks up the surface. There’s no texture in the factory spray painted models. And your materials are inexpensive when so much now is getting too expensive. Top job !

This is a brilliant video!! Like you were when you made the video, I am new to this and found your video really helpful & down to earth, easy to understand! The results are fantastic! One quick question if you don't mind, you mentioned isopropyl alcohol, what was that used for> (did it go in the water for the wash??) Thanks again for a great, informative video that I will for sure be putting in to practice. Cheers... Steve
@MarchWestJunctionTMD10 ай бұрын
Hi Steve and thank you for your kind words and feedback. The isopropyl alcohol can be used as a thinner for the was and you can use it on a cotton but to wipe some of the weathering off to blend it back. Keep safe and well my friend Andy
