This build continues to be an impressive and adventurous one. I love the design and adding such intense scenics to the helices is hard work, but a huge payoff down the road. I personally like the idea of a movable (and even reversable) scenic break just for the heck of it! Great work and video! Cheers!

Well this is build and a half Colin ! Fantastic trestle bridge and as you know I do like a helix or two ! Look forward to see how you progress the build in the coming year. Cheers Euan
@collinsngauge54938 ай бұрын
Hi Euan in this shed there is only 1helix in this shed, The one i have to build there is 1 the same size as the one in the film and 1 small one. Sorry to say this build may or should I say will take more than a year 😅😅. Just in this small area making the helix doing the Trestle Bridge which still has at least 300 more bit's of wood to stick on still and now the work doing this end all ready 100s of hour's, but I'm enjoying every minute. Wow Colin - lots of work done but so far to go yet. Ido’t envy you the work but I will no doubt be envious of the completed vista when the locos run round and over it! Thanks or sharing the progress so far Regards Steve

Hi Colin, I think with a huge build like this slow is the way to go gives us time to think and even on my new build doing the same so very well done it is taking shape and will look tremendous when done just hope you do not run out of cardboard and on that you have MDF which is mosture resistant is there any coating on the cardboard as when I leave it in the loft it does get affected by the damp? Keep well and plastering. Cheers Robert.
@collinsngauge54938 ай бұрын
Hi Robert good point about the card, with it having plaster of Paris on if every now and then it does go soft the plaster will hold it shape so I have thought of that. and at the moment there is no insulation on the wall or ceiling and everything hasn't felt damp, the glass on the doors and windows are double glazed and there got rubber seals to stop drafts. The shed I'm going to build it's not going to have any windows and the door is going to be a double glazed door. Colin
