You can disable the purge Lines in the slicer for the second color. That makes life easier 😉

Thanks for this. I was playing with similar in Tinkercad yesterday but didn't realise the trick to alignment was loading the 2 pieces as 1 model and splitting. Thanks for that. Oh and love the eyes on the print head :)

@Markury can you do one that is more then one layer height.. let’s says you have a logo that is different colors and than you have walls that is in black that go all the way around

Is there any way to do this but print a few layers of supports and then switch to TPU and print on top of the (pla) supports. As im struggling to print TPU supports as they fuse to the print

Usually it doesn't. But to be safe, in the Slicer you can go to the printer settings in the extruder tab increase the Z hop when retracting to .6 or .8

What is the reason for placing the model at the front of the plate, off center?

The Bambu Lab printers know the location of the print bed by bumping it into the nozzle. This happens at the start of every print, so if you don’t move the part away from the center, the nozzle may hit the already printed filament and mess up the print. I hope that makes sense. Happy printing!

For the second color, simply comment out the start g-code to avoid homing and auto leveling. For example: G90 ; use absolute coordinates M83 ; extruder relative mode M104 S[first_layer_temperature] ; set extruder temp M140 S[first_layer_bed_temperature] ; set bed temp M190 S[first_layer_bed_temperature] ; wait for bed temp M109 S[first_layer_temperature] ; wait for extruder temp ;G28 ; home all ;G29 ; Auto Leveling And in the first color, for the heated bed not to cool down, simply comment out the end g-code and also keep the motors locked to do the filament purge. Ex: G91; relative positioning G1 Z50 F3000 ; move z up little to prevent scratching of print G90; absolute positioning G1 X0 Y300 F1000 ; prepare for part removal M104 S0; turn off extruder ;M140 S0 ; turn off bed ;M84 ; disable motors M106 S0 ; turn off fan@@Markury

What if you are printing with TPU :) AMS doesn't work with it so this method helps as a beginning point.

What about if you want to print glow filament, cf, tpu and other none ams materials? 🥴
