I recently went from the Ender 3 V2 and using Cura to getting a Bambu Lab P1S and learning Bambu Studio, and HOLY CRAP this slicer is super robust! I'm used to needing to use Blender to cut models or use boolean operations, and it doesn't always turn out pretty to be honest... but having these in-house with the slicer is going to be SO helpful!! Thank you for making these videos!

Hello from the future (May 2024). I got my Bambu A1 less than a week ago and have been having a great time with it, just relying on the defaults. I'm super happy to have found your videos this weekend. You explain things so well and I have been making notes on how to already improve my prints (although to be honest, I have friends who have had fdm printers for longer who are amazed at how good things have been for me so far!). Definitely will be heading over to join your Patreon before I resume this playlist binge :) Thank you again for your videos. You are a terrific teacher and maker!!

Also, I appreciate your format. Going over everything one piece at a time is one things, but showing examples of each along with the options, and discussing implementation, is what makes the difference between actually teaching and simply reading a manual into a camera.

Thank you for this. I'm fairly new to printing, and just recently moved to Bambu Studio for my new P1S. I had no idea what most of those did beyond what the names implied, and didn't know the nuances and applications for most of them. This series has been fantastic - it's basically a full course of study in Studio. I've just been opening up files, testing each thing as you explain it, and then making notes in OneNote for future reference. As a novice, what I'd love to see covered in the future: ~Infill - what's the difference, and when would I pick one over the other? How to determine the proper amount of infill (in my early prints, I was frequently printing at 70%+, thinking it would be too brittle if I didn't - lesson learned.) ~Balancing strength, detail, and speed (this seems to be the 'expert' stage right here!) ~The advanced settings in the left menu ~Not just how to properly calibrate and tune, but when it's necessary

Very informative video, thank you. I downloaded BamBoo Studio after watching your last video and this video seems to show BamBoo Studio has more abilities then Cura. I'm NO expert at any of this (over 70 amature). I only use Cure but since BamBoo Studio recognizes my Ender3 v2 printers I'll give it a try. The BamBoo 3D printers look more advanced so I might have to buy one, after I give my Ender 3 V2's to the relatives! I do enjoy all your work on 3D printing and painting of what is made. Thank you and keep up the great informative videos.

A good simple example for intersection would be to get a rectangle and put two spheres either side and you will be left with a different shape. For example if you want to leave clearance for a gear or a wheel.

Another great tutorial Chris!!! Great job with these slicer videos. Hey quick newbie question, why does the seam have to be on the outer layer and why can’t it be on the infill??
@ItsMeaDMaDe Жыл бұрын
Good question. The best way to think about it each outer wall is like drawing a circle you have to start and stop to complete the a circle it’s the same way with filament it has to start somewhere to apply the outer wall and then it has to stop in the same place. Hope that helps thanks for the comment.

Hi Chris, I've been trying to print out the cool Bambu accessory case that's on Printables. I've been trying to use ironing on all top surfaces for the internal pieces. However after printing it about 6 different times and it coming out looking really bad I've given up. Have you tried anything like this yet ? It's a print that takes up the whole build plate. I dont like giving up on something but this was just not happening. Do you have any tips or guides for ironing with the X1C?
@ItsMeaDMaDe Жыл бұрын
Well first I’m sorry your having issues. I honestly have only begun experimenting with ironing features in Bambu studio. I’m hoping to have something in a few weeks depending on how my tests work to help with this topic. Your not the only one that has come to me with this issue so I’ll definitely be trying to figure it out.
@DUSKtillDAN666 Жыл бұрын
@@ItsMeaDMaDe ah thank god dude glad I'm not going nuts 🤣. The bambu accessory case I'm on about is the one that was free then the guy started charging for it and people lost their minds and got mad but us now free again. Try one of the internals on that if you fancy it. I do have one other question, I'm using petg for my pla support interface which works great. Except part way up my support I get a few lines of petg randomly printed even though there is no interface in these areas. It's so weird. Any ideas what I'm missing?🤔

So many questions were for a newbie Just got the Bambu lab P1P And wondering if there is a way to turn off the purge when you change filaments because nothing I’m printing at the moment makes a big difference that it has a little bit of a different color
@edevans5991 Жыл бұрын
I don't have my P1P yet and didn't even order an AMS but in other videos I've seen that you can change the amount of purging done depending on the colors being switched. For instance you might purge more before starting white because any left over color will easily show. I don't know if you can turn it off completely. Check out the Teaching Tech video on reducing waste with AMS.
